Chic, IL The Summer of Sith BBQ

On May 7th, I will yet again be hosting another installment of our popular summer BBQ to kickoff the "Summer of Sith". Come one, come all to a feeding frenzy of meat, veggies, chips(we never run out) and yummie desserts. We will be firing up the grill around 2pm, with games and a possible outdoor film afterwards. Rain or shine(please pray for sun that day) come and gather with your favorite Chicago area geeks, or come to avoid them after seeing them all through C3. Details to come soon.

I will be bringing my usual nacho/guacamole dip platter. . . .Except I won't bring chips this time.


P.S. After the last BBQ chips fiasco, ten bucks says nobody brings chips this time.

As Beavis and Butthead say; "We're there". I have an idea of what to bring, including some films. I also have some star wars spoofs on cd rom, including "thumb Wars", and the "Triumph: the insult comic dog", interviewing the Episode II line. Carrie, do you mind if I carpool with you to the BBQ, fellow Lombardian?

Also, I have a copy of the PC game "Star Wars: X-Wing Trilogy". Maybe it could be used for donation, or something?

Everyone brought chips last year (okay, not everyone, but there sure were tons of chips).

 

Correction, every year people bring lots of chips. We have meat, some nice potatoe salad, some pop, some desserts and lots of chips.
I am not downing chips, they are an easy choice, and make sense to bring to a BBQ, hot dogs and chips, hamburgers and chips. But when everyone thinks of the same thing, it gets a little silly.

 

I can't help thinking that now NO ONE is gonna bring chips. LOL

Appetizers people, think side dishes! Every grocery store I've been in sells little party platters and dishes of various things. It's not like you even have to cook.....unless you want to of course...wink wink!

 

PS my favorite chips are dill pickle Old Dutch
