    As requested in the JCC...

    [image=http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj75/MedievalSam/photos/narsil_scabbard.jpg]

Narsil essenya, macil meletya, telchar carnéron navrotessë - Narsil is my name, a mighty sword, Telchar made me in Nogrod.

It's almost as tall as I am!

    I also have Boromir's sword:

And some of my brother's swords/knives:

somewhere I have a photo of myself with William Wallace's sword - it's bigger than I am, and I'm 6foot4.
I've never got the attraction of swords, but agree they are impressive in fantasy movies.

    I prefer smaller/lighter swords. Otherwise I can't ahndle them.

They're good for decoration I suppose.

I took a sword class run by the Viking Society of New Zealand of all places... finished for now but want to take it up again, there's nothing more therapeutic than bashing metal against metal.

I'm only 5'1 3/4", so a sword longer than me isn't that freaking huge. My Dad lived in Spain for two years and we have swords from there. They're one of the things I want to inherit when he dies, along with the 14th-century manuscript, the Salvador Dali and his really big dictionary.

I did Modern Arnis for a while. A really great sport, the only I'd start on again, if my firend's stepfather wasn't in the class right now.

I'm not much bigger, Ish. I like Japanese swords, they're nice and light.

I agree. Japanese swords are cool. My best friend Morgan got butterfly swords from her boyfriend as a birthday present. I wanted to marry him then AND at the time he married my other best friend Jess. I just think a guy who buys a girl swords is way hot.

I prefer the look and function of the early medieval European style. I'm glad LOTR went that way, and avoided all those hideous fantasy swords as seen in other movies.

Awesome, what was that like? I've only tried kendo and fencing.

Well I wasn't actually part of the Viking Society, I just turned up to their sword classes run inside a big hall (the Scottish Society Hall :p) Most people taking part were dressed up like 9th century soldiers.

I never got that far, I just did the initial sword classes, but if I continue it will get pretty physical so I have to get myself some cloth padded armour, chain maille, my own steel sword, shield and helm. It's not cheap. :(

Not to be offensive, but because you know like..all the details of the LOTR swords..doesn't that mean you should rather be more on a LOTR forum site, then SW which has lightsabers as suppose to Narsil?

Aragorn is the King of Gondor. He's really busy. And he's noble. He wouldn't waste his time with rhetoric. He'd ignore it.

Besides I like to have a sword. I like swords. More than lightsabers since they're not real. But I was just asking because of your name.

Was it actually William Wallace's sword, or just a guestimated replica? I suppose I could look it up but you know...
