Ryan thinks a max of three troopers for the show, since the studio is small.

As I might have said before, we have to limit the number based on my ability to give free tickets to you guys, and I'm real limited on how many I can give out (see below).

The particulars of what will happen, as approved by the Popejoy Hall people:

1) There are dressing rooms in the basement level under Popejoy Hall which can be used by you guys.

2) Byron Herrington, the conductor, will meet with you guys 15 minutes or so before the show in these downstairs dressing rooms. The Storm-/Sandtroopers (and Fett?) can escort him up the stairs into the lobby, through the lobby then out the doors, then back into the building. Darth needs to stay in, as we want to keep him a secret 'til the Imperial March opens the second half of the show.

3) The troopers will then be directed to the choir stands. These are the two balcony-like areas on either side of the stage where they can "patrol" with a birds-eye view during the concerts. The troopers will be very visible and menacing! This was suggested as an alternative to troopers standing guard in the aisles (fire code prohibits). At intermission, everybody loves the idea of you guys hanging out and interacting with people.

4) As previously stated, it'd be great if Darth Vader could be onstage for the Imperial March, the music leading off the second half of the concert. As previously discussed, Byron will start talking about something, Vader will walk onstage and force-choke him, at which point he'll be like "alright, alright, I'll start the music."

6)As the chorus will have exited the stage after the first half, our production manager thought it might be cool if the troopers were onstage as well, and lingered on the chorus risers on the back of the stage for the second half of the show (kinda keeping an eye on the orchestra, eh?).

Tickets:

After a lot of consultation, here's the final offer with regard to tickets:

1) We can afford to offer each participating trooper/Darth/Fett two free tickets. Both can be used in the same show, or for 1 for each night. I asked about a discount, but our ticketing system will only allow free tickets or full-price with nothing in between. (and due to revenue issues, we can't give away that many tickets)

2) To compensate for the fact I can't give you more free or discounted tickets, I can give you two Flex-Pass vouchers, redeemable for tickets to most of our other concerts (including the John Williams show in November) this season.

3) Our box office has already held a block of 40 tickets for anyone else in the 501st who wants to buy tix and sit together. They're in the $25 range, and are very good seats. If this is cool, get an order together and coordinate with Steve in our box office soon. He'll be able to hold the block until Sept. 13.

4) For every ticket you guys buy, I'll match it with another Flex-Pass.

Troopers participating in the concert do NOT need tickets, as you will be part of the show. So your two tickets can go to family members, friends, etc.

The NMSO is looking and hoping for participation in BOTH shows, Friday and Saturday. If there is a trooper that works both nights, that trooper would get two free tickets to the concert and two Flex-Pass tickets.

Jess and I asked Ryan about participation from other costumes and his response was:

So unfortunately, the Jedi and Rebel costumes can't be used during the show. But, that doesn't mean that you can't attend the concerts in costume. In fact,

My tie pilot will be done by then, and I want to and am able to participate both nights! I don't want to step on any toes though, so as a matter of respect for seniority I saw what ever troopers have been here the longest should have the first option of participating. If there are any spots after that I would like to be a part of this so please keep me in mind.

If not, I definately want to be in the audience and with the some other of the Mos Alba folks one of the nights and would likely wear the costume then. I would probably buy 3 tickets in that event, if possible.

I know I'm new and no one has seen me in person with my armor...
But I will be there on the 24th with my TK costume regardless!
If I can't get on stage, I'd like to reserve 2 of those $25 tickets.
One for me, and one for my friend which is drving. (Im forcing him
to particpate )

Say, any chance I could get with someone on the 23rd to look at my armor?
It could use some good ol constructive criticism... Also havent made any
arrangements on where i'm staying the night.
