We are an organization of Grey Jedi/Potentium Users, also the official Grey Jedi/Potentium Fan Club of the EUC. Our beliefs are simple. We do not believe that there is a lightside or a darkside of the force, and that it is more like shades of grey. Please join us, if you believe our philosophy to be true.

We are now accepting members, starting at council positions, or slightly lower level positions (if you like a certain combat specialty and sub-group, but in those categories the position is taken on the roster). Here is the description of Sub-Groups and Combat Specializations?

Grey Avenger Sub-Groups

Crusaders
Specializing in brute force and attack.
-Ranks (From lowest to highest)-

Shadow Watch
Specializing in tactics and diplomacy.
-Ranks (From lowest to highest)-

Specializing in defense and security.

Apprentices
The non-council group for those who are unable to advance to sub-groups yet, or simply haven?t made the choice.

Grey Avengers Combat Specializations

Fire ? Uses Offensive Force Abilities and Lightsaber Combat.
Water ? Uses Defensive Force Abilities and Lightsaber Combat.
Wind ? Uses Offensive and Defensive Force Abilities. (No Lightsaber use; Depends on other martial weapons.)

How these apply to the sub-groups.

Water Apprentice ? Defensive Force Abilities, and Shii-Cho.

Crusader (Uses the specialties for Attack)

Fire Warrior ? Offensive Force Abilities, Shien/Djem So and/or Juyo/Vapaad.
Water Warrior ? Defensive Force Abilities, Shien/Djem So and/or Juyo/Vapaad.
Wind Warrior ? Offensive and Defensive Force Abilities, no Lightsaber Use. (Depends on other martial weapons).

Shadow Watch (Uses the Specialties for Diplomacy)

Fire Sage ? Offensive Force Abilities, Makashi and/or Niman.
Water Sage ? Defensive Force Abilities, Makashi and/or Niman.
Wind Sage ? Offensive and Defensive Force Abilities, no Lightsaber Use. (Depends on other martial weapons).

Sentinel Guard (Uses the Specialties for Defense)

Fire Watchman ? Offensive Force Abilities, Soresu and/or Ataru.
Water Watchman ? Defensive Force Abilities, Soresu and/or Ataru.
Wind Watchman ? Offensive and Defensive Force Abilities, no Lightsaber Use. (Depends on other martial weapons).

How these apply to the Council.

The council members will now be the highest of each specialty in each sub group. Meaning, it is laid out like so...

And no more chairman. This means that everyone is equal in the council, and nobody is higher. And, furthermore, there is NO Grandmaster.

So, if you would, please select a Combat Specialization. This means everyone. I have already chosen. I have chosen Fire.

This seems like a social thread for an RP...plus grey side threads (you are hardly the first) usually get locked.

 

We will discuss not only the RPG, but EU Grey Siders.

 

Well, Veregre and Jacen do not believe there is any Darkside. Only your actions make something right or wrong. So, as long as the discussion is one topics of the nature of the Force, I see no problem here...

I however believe in a light and darkside. and have devoted myself to the death of the light.

Yes, however, Vergere believed in the Living Force. That is different, IMO. However, Qui-Gon Jinn was a Greysider under the veil of being a Jedi. That, however, under my order, would be direct treachery, as we are not Jedi. But, we still use him as an example, as times were different back then. Enough talking about my order though, as that is going off topic.

BTW :: Thank you Oochy, for defending my topic's right to stay. You, are the only Darksider I consider to not be so bad. Take it as a compliment, or even an insult to your pride as a sith, but, however, I am being nice to you.

In my sig is my website which many of you may find very interesting.

Also on the topic of Qui-Gon, I d not hink that he was a Grey Sider. He was, however one to do "what must be done." He did not use powers consider of the Dark Side. He focused mostly on the ways of the Jedi. An example though of one that was a grey Sider in my opinion is Kyle Katarn.

He has used powers that are considered wrong for a Jedi, yet he gets the Job done.

Another was Kyp Durron, or Jaina Solo. Though many will attest that Kyp was more darkside then he turned back to the light. But if you notice through out the NJO, he resorts to any means necessary to fulfill his duty, even though his usage of the Force doea not show a Grey slant. his actions though spoke louder than words.

And Jaina used Force Lightning to help save fellow Jedi. The time was classified by her being grief stricken and driven to embrace darkness. But she only did the natural human thing and allowed her emotions to show, and she used the abilities those emotions unleashed to gain the goal at hand.

 

Yes, that is true, but whether or not you have darkside powers does not determine if you are grey or not. It is your attitude. Qui-Gon had the attitude of a Greysider. He took matters into his own hands, and had little respect for the order, but, he still worked for it. In my opinion, he was a Jedi for his own well being, as if he had rebelled, the consequences would have been grim.

And, yes, Kyle Katarn and Kyp Durron, are actually the best examples of Greysiders.

I have to admit I'm wondering how a thread with five members and dedicated to a fairly extreme minority topic area of Force-users will pan out.

As has been said, this isn't the first "gray Jedi" related thread, and it likely won't be the last.

But, I suppose it can be the current one for now.

 

Genghis, we will categorize all force users and determine if they are Grey or not, using the Greyscale. The higher the rating, the cooler they are. 8) (Or just the higher the rating, the more greysider they are.) We will do this with every well-known force user, starting with...

Qui-Gon Jinn.

I give him a 75% on the greyscale.

The subject of the so called "Grey Jedi" is an intersting one, and I've only just become a hesitant believer with the information we get from TUF.

Someone mentioned before (sorry, I'm too lazy to go through all the posts again) that Kyp was a grey-sider. I happen to believe that too. Even if I don't see it really in his actions, I believe that Kyp would be a firm follower of the grey-side.

But on the subject of his falling to the dark side, he didn't fall per se. He was overtaken. There is a difference.

spork brings up a very Valid point of Kyps not fallin, but being overtaken.

I think we should deisng a rating system that goes from 1 to 10.

that way we can accurately measure each Force User. Though we will ahve to desihn the sysem, as for now, i give qui gon a 60% Grey Side rating.

to your statemetn Godlike enigma, I believe that you are right toa certain dgree. My view is there are no sides. Except foe the emotions of the person and the way they feel. Only light and darkness exist because of the way a person harbors their emotions.

I feel the "Grey" is the allowing of all human emotion to guide you on your journey as a Force user. not going to one extreme or another and by learning of all aspects of the Force to help you to get to the goal in sight. The "Grey Jedi" allow their emotions as humans to be there guide. And they use the Force as a whole. They are also guardinas of Peace and Justice, yet they will do what ever is necessary to ensire the safety of others and that the problem is resolved.
