Chances are that Osama, if he is still alive, is in deed out there planning another attack. Like you all have heard all too many times, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when he strikes again.

None. You are right, Usama is a vahabi (Sometimes called Wahabi) muslim, whereas Saddam is a secular pseudo-socialist Shi'a. If you go to your DoJ's website, they have .pdf files of an al-Qaeda manual discovered in Britain. It clearly, in the first one, rejects the idea of pan-Arabism being socialist, and condemns the early socialist leaders, and I assume that's reference to Ahmed Ben Bella of Algeria and the like.

Simply put, this isn't an al-Qaeda attack. Yes, Usama will plan another strike against the US, and may even execute it before he's caught, I don't know. But what I do know is this; when you undertake an operation like 9/11, you don't follow it up with a European tanker attack. Your war is America first, so you'll hit Americans if you're al-Qaeda. These people are not idiots, just fanatics. They may have sacrificied their humanity but they almost managed to mount attacks like 9/11. Ask yourself; why would Usama or al-Qaeda attack the oil tanker? Is it consistent with their previous targets? No; just the MO is the same.

AT_60, there's no proof either way; State Dept. believes he's alive; Karzai is saying he's dead. If he is alive, which I certainly think, then he's going to lay low for a while. If he's dead; the US got him, and did a "Che Guevara" on his remains; they must have hid them. Because if he died in the company of Arabs, he'd be martyred all over the news.
