The TFN Booth

Hey all - just wanted to have a quick brainstorming session - what do you want to see at a TFN booth at the show?

TFN digital: Alena, you, and some of the other TFN staffers.

Ooo, you could sell TFN shirts there too! Just some ideas. I'd definitely stop by!

 

A Fanforce Banner

 

You could have a big banner that says "Sithman is Welcome Here!".

Now THAT would be cool.

Actually I was thinking about a webcam as well....at least at the TF.N booth.

 

Yeah, a Webcam would be cool so that I can wave to my friends while I am having fun at Celebration

 

Actually, I'd laugh at all my friends that were'nt there having the time of their lives.

 

I think you should have a booth with lots of free stuff!

 

How about a TV playing some fan films like KQ, Troops, BA, etc.

Some flyers about Fan Foce would be a good idea, as well as what TFN is and maybe a little flyer with the more obscure parts of TFN like the Star Wars Technical Commentaries.

 

A fan art gallery would be cool.

 

I Think Fan Force Flyers would be a great idea. It would be a great way to get word out to folks that have yet to hear of us.


The web cam sounds like a cool idea too. That way people who can't come can still get a little peek. Would they allow that?

 

I heard some rumblings of a Fan Force booth as well. You should look into the cost. It would be a great idea, esp. with the webcam.

I also think the flyer thing would be great, and it would also be great to let each chapter set out flyers at the table for their clubs. I don't know about other chapters but for ourselves we try to get out as many flyers for our club where ever we can. Perhaps there'll be people from a city/region that has a fan club but they don't know about it. This would be a great opportunity to not only promote the chapters but TF.N and FanForce overall.

 

The Indy Knights will have our own booth. We'd previously talked about sharing it with other Nearby FF chapters or all of FF, but my memory on those details are blurred at best.

I don't know what the electrical/internet setups will be, but it would be cool just to have a PC sitting on your table with the site up...not for people like us to jab in a quick post, but for non-interenet connected fans (and more importantly, parents) to see what TF.N is all about.

 

Or, we could have *two* computers so that we could jab in a quick post like: "I'M AT THE CELEBRATION!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOO!!!!!"

Ok, this may sound like a totally stupid question. But, will all the fansites have booths????

I have never been to a convention like this, so I would assume that this would be the case.

Also, I think you should have a bunch of the TFN staffers. And of course....Alena

Also, it would be cool if you could set up some sort of live interactive thing from your site where fans who are not able to attend the Celebration could comunicate in sort of a live chat-like session and so they feel they are part of the celebration too.

As for fansites, I'm sure that if they want to they can have a booth. I don't know the rules for that. They do have a limited amount of boothes set aside for clubs, fan sites, and vendors, so it's up to WotC really.

 

I think is would be great to allow FanForce chapters to put out flyers, webcam, awesome! Maybe a raffle for TFN shirts and stuff?

 

Has anyone from TF.N or Fan Force contacted WOTC about this?

Well the gentleman that started this thread is part of theforce.net, so I'm assuming they already have a booth or are getting one.

 

Snap, I know The Indy Group said they will have a booth of thier own. I am not sure about other groups.
