Crazy for not believing in something that doesn't exist.

The man's plight is upsetting, but the host is less than impressive.

    Atheist TV channel launching

I'm not sure what "superstition-free TV" is supposed to look like but I have a Roku, maybe I'll look just for the hell of it.

Yeah... probably something I'd be interested in checking out, but probably not something I see myself watching regularly.

I imagine a lot of programming ragging on religious people.

I guess somebody looked at the vast array of completely awful Christian television channels and said "Me too!"

An atheist channel might start out with good intentions, but within 18 months it would be all alien autopsies all the time.

Yeah... I can't really see it going anywhere. I'd check it out, out of pure curiosity. I couldn't see myself getting really into it, though.

You never know what stupid things will come out of Louie Gohmert's mouth.

The Louie Gohmert video reminds me of a church program I caught on the radio while flipping channels. "When we get back from this commercial I will explain to you exactly how God created everything". Well I had to hear this. Here's what he said, reading from a bible:

"And God spake, and it was so. You see? God spake and it happened. That's God and that's all you need to know."

    Evangelicals question Adam and Eve

According to the Bible (Genesis 2:7), this is how humanity began: "The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." God then called the man Adam, and later created Eve from Adam's rib.
Polls by Gallup and the Pew Research Center find that four out of 10 Americans believe this account. It's a central tenet for much of conservative Christianity, from evangelicals to confessional churches such as the Christian Reformed Church.
But now some conservative scholars are saying publicly that they can no longer believe the Genesis account. Asked how likely it is that we all descended from Adam and Eve, Dennis Venema, a biologist at Trinity Western University, replies: "That would be against all the genomic evidence that we've assembled over the last 20 years, so not likely at all."
