Other Jabba, this thread has mostly just convinced me you've never eaten a plum before.

also, I make a great Zwetschkenknödel, which is the way God intended us to eat plums.

 

Why would you put a bunch of hot nasty dough on top of a plum? You do not seem like the sort of person I would want to associate with.

I feel very sad for you, that even in a conversation about fruit, all you can think of is mere sex talk.

The mindset of the present society has become deeply perverted. It's a reality we all have to deal with it, though we needn't be approving of it.

 

This is not something one should have to deal with on a family friendly board, to be honest. It is depravity.

 

This place has coarsened a great deal since everyone took to the notion that they knew one another well. You joined too late to know what the boards used to be like.

I assume peak Wocky is when he brags about being a wasteful consumer. While people are starving he's gleefully having the lower classes throw away perfectly good food, and himself wasting perfectly good drinks. Oh such honour. 21,000 people die per day of hunger. As far as I am concerned, their blood is on Wocky's hands.

Not that he gives a ****, the rogue. He's too busy nibble plums and lapping up their juices with gay abandon.

My goal with this thread was to create something that was not only reflective, but high relatable. The big challenges are life are all too tangled in specificity for us to share them in common. They are freighted with things that can only have meaning or value to individuals. How, then, do I disengage from history to focus in on the issue at hand? I imagined, paradoxically, that in the small and quotidian moments we could uncover some sort of truth that was more broadly applicable. Or at least wrestle with it. That maybe in our smallest mistakes and errors of judgment, we could acknowledge shortcomings that our pride would not otherwise allow.

Perhaps I erred, though, in choosing fruit. It is such a good topic that people are easily side-tracked into just having discussions about their favorite kinds or the details of growing or preparation. I don't know.
