No surprise in the pcks for me. Mace is the obvious third pick, and Obi-Wan seems to go # 4. Personally, I don't know if I'd put him above some Sith like Kun, Sidious, and Vader, but he's a good pick.

And it's nice to hear that the judges like my pick

 

I agree completely SL. I'd put him below those three sith, but whatever.

 

but the team aspect is difficult to form around those sith lords...obi-wan is a proven leader, maybe the best out of all the jedi/sith...he will lead many a team to victory in the team battles...and he can mix it up with those sith as well...

 

True. I don't think he's as strong individually, but he is diffenately easier to build a team around than the Sith, mainly beacuse all the good Sith pairings are good enough to be taken in the first round (can you imagine a Sidious/Vader pair? They'd be unstoppable)

 

I thought about taking Vader or Sidious when I found out they were available, and trust me I was very tempted. But looking at the big picture, I thought Obi is was the safest to go with. Now I must pick the right people to go with him.

Nah, not controversial. If you want to build a light team, he's an excellent choice considering whose up there. It'll depend on how the judges like him, of course, but still, good pick.

And OBIXI, Horax could tell you that I pm'ed him a list, and I thought I would have a shot at Mace, especially after Luke was taken, w/ those Sith left. I just figured I would take a slightly less daunting path this time and go w/ a light sided team. I really considered at first to go w/ darkside, but at the very end I decided to go light, and steal the sophmore slumper's pick.

Ghost_Jedi: There might have been 1 or 2 different players to look at, but a great pickup. Obi-Wan is another Jedi that is easy to build a team around. You never can go wrong with someone that survived the purge. Class act pick...

Where is Niktos?

 

It never ceases to amaze me that Palpidious seems to go 5th or 6th in most drafts. He really can only lose to Yoda (spoiler) until episode III, when he kicks Yoda's butt!. Obi-Wan is a great pick, though...he can only lose to maybe 3 individuals (spoiler) Until Episode III and his stock raises after defeating Anakin and Grievous..

Is it really a spoiler that Obi gives Anakin a lava bath, after all it is pretty much stated in their dialogue that Obi defeat Anakin

I think you can really make valid arguements for Obi against all comers except for 2, and most, if not all, trumps. B/c who is the only Jedi we have seen to win when combatted w/ 2 light sabers?

 

Anakin defeated Assaj Ventress in Clone Wars and she used two blades.

However, I know it's different facing two attackers instead of one person with two blades.

My spoiler was basically meant for what was said after the lava bath.
