    In spite of the bullpen trying to give one away tonight, the game went pretty well. Tallet pitching six shutout innings was very good. The hitting was good with the three homers too.

    And we're now tied for the Wild Card lead although the Yankees have two games in hand.

    It looks like the season's over. If they can't beat the Yankees at least some of the time, they're finished. It'll be really hard to trade the overpriced duo of Wells and Rios too. The efforts of some (Hill, Lind, Scutaro, Rolen, Barajas, and of course Halladay and the rest of the pitching staff) have been wasted due to their presence.

    Trade deadline is the 31st but Ricciardi made the 28th his own deadline for trading him.
