Burke is really going to town rebuilding the Buds.

I hate to admit it (as i hate the Leafs) but i think they could be in for a solid turnaround this season...

Bulletin #3: Leaf fans are consoling themselves with the thought that they will get the first round draft choice next year...oh, that's right! They traded that to Boston. For Phil Kessel. Who's injured.

Not to rub it in, but Bruins fans are already keeping a close eye on the Leafs in hopes they end up with the #1 overall pick in the draft. Lots of talk about the possibility of Taylor Hall in a Bruins uni.

 

Hey, Toronto wanted Brian Burke. The media promoted it. Now they are turning on him. Could have predicted it, too.

 

And how has Boston started out so far? I wonder if they're missing a certain player at the moment that they had last year.

 

I can say without fear of contradiction, they have won two more games than the Leafs have, and have one game in hand.

 

After tonight? They're .500 and while that's not much to brag about, they are in a weak division. As long as they get their act together they should have no problem locking down at least the 3rd seed in the east.

The benefit of having the Toronto pick is they can trade their own #1 at the deadline if they need to acquire a ringer for the stretch run.
