Hasbro Strafe is a redeco and retool of Air Raid. Takara used "Unite Warriors" Blast Off instead.

Hasbro Afterburner and Takara are similar, but with different paint jobs.

Hasbro Nosecone uses Brawl, while Takara did a retooling of Rook.



Hasbro will also include Scrounge, a redeco and retool of Cosmos, from the Marvel Comics series and he will fit onto Strafe.

Takara's version of the "Titans Return" Blurr and Scourge.






Making his return to "Robots In Disguise", Ratchet. A redeco and retool of Strongarm.



Also, after a long bout of cutting through red tape and gaining legal clearances, Hasbro and Sony will be releasing the scores to "Transformers", "G.I. Joe", "Jem & The Holograms" and "My Little Pony" this summer. More to come.

So it looks like this will be the replacement for Botcon. And speaking of the con, here's the rundown of the other toys released.

Transmetal III Megatron. The bat mode can still be done, but the necessary pieces were removed to make Megatron's head fit.



Airazor.



Tigatron.



Unit-3 who is based off of Under-3, the first year McDonald's Happy Meal toy.





You can use the two of them alongside "Combiner Wars" Silverbolt, Ironhide and Prowl to make Magnaboss.





Fun Publications provided stickers to make the other bots match.

Reflector.



This year's custom figure was Ratchet, which could be painted in the following ways.

G1 Cartoon, G1 Marvel/IDW, G2 Ratchet, "Shattered Glass" Ratchet and Medix.



You had to paint it yourself, but you did get two sticker sheets. A G1 default and one other of your choice. G2 Ratchet's bio lists him as a Protectorbot, so if Hasbro does release that version of the team, he can be a substitute or Medix can join. You also received the Enigma of Combination that he can hold, or can be given to Optimus Prime to use as Ultra Prime or Optimus Maximus.

 

The font in the teaser looks different from the previous films.

As for the title?... It doesn't do anything to make me excited for the film. However, I'm sure I'll be suckered into buying another ticket when the first trailer drops.

What that a thing in Age of Extinction? Seriously, I don't recall. I remember Marky Mark drinking a beer and Optimus riding Grimlock and then taking off into space.

But Optimus doesn't remember being a Knight or the serving the Creators, right? I remember talk about Quintessons being the "Creators." The Quintessons weren't on Cybertron, right?

 

Yeah, I won't watch Age of Extinction until the next film comes closer. But, the talk about the possibilities of The Last Knight does have me more interested in the film.

With Optimus taking off into outer space at the end of AoE, I wonder if that means earth won't be a setting in The Last Knight. If that's the case, no humans, right? I would so love a Transformers flick with any humans.

 

Yeah, they'll probably have Optimus returning to earth with the threat following him. I still hope that's not the case.

I wish Michael Bay wasn't set to direct the next film as well. I think the Transformers need a reboot with the character designs more like the G1 series and less like the Bionicles or whatever the Bayformers were initially compared to.

 

So, the first theory of the meaning "The Last Knight" is in.

If any of this theory holds true, they've already sucked me in. ROM was one of my favorite comic books as a kid. And if it's the first in the crossover films, my mind is blown!

While that is possible, I think the Knights might refer to the Knights of Cybertron. A concept that's been used in IDW G1 continuity, which refers to a group of Cybertronians who left Cybertron and were the original children of Primus.

I think it's Optimus who is the threat. Notice in that picture of him, his eyes are purple and not blue. Perhaps he found the Creators and they turned him evil.

And Tyrese Gibson is close behind.

I'm not sure how I would feel with an evil Optimus. However, some of the better Superman stories are when he's gone rogue.

I want to believe in the crossover though.

 

I've read rumours of it being Nemesis Prime rather than Optimus but with Bay that probably needs a HUGE pinch of salt.

 

So we finally got UNICRON? He's the only reason I keep paying money to watch these ****** movies. The first one was cool, 2nd one was acceptable to me, the third one is meh and I can't endure the fourth one, not anymore.

 

Come on now, since Transformers is following the cinematic universe model of Marvel, they need to save him for one of the larger team-up movies down the line.

And now, all of a sudden, I get images of Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson's characters being approached by a mysterious character, who wants them to join a new group he's starting up, a mobile armored strike command; or perhaps an international military strike force named for legendary war hero General Joseph Colton. take your pick.
