Fluke Groundwalker stood on the bridge of the Agonizer, of which he had assumed temporary command in his chase of the renegade Annihilator Armada.

For the time being, however, he had halted the chase, as the fate of the Galactic Alliance hung in the balance, dependent upon this trial. He had tweaked as many things as possible, although there was still a small time-delay in the feed.

The holocam panned out, revealing quite a large cadré of attendants already present. He easily spotted Emperor Jello, with his large personal escort. Surprisingly, there was also a Vong present. And there, in his box already, was Zaarin, meandering about as usual.

Admiral Groundwalker seated himself in his command chair, and waited for the events to unfold.

Warlord Ken: "I have decided to allow the Vong to stay...as long as they remain under tight surveillance."

<Signals 25 soldiers festooned with powerful stun batons to monitor the Vong>

"Don't worry, I trust these guys."

bterrik shuttle came out of lightspeed and docked with the station. A light lit up on the communications board, and he answered it.

A judge, eh? bterrik thought to himself as he read the message.

He brought Prevent of War to dock with Olympic Station and soon found himself in the court room. He hit a switch on his pod, and it wooshed down and attached itself to the judge's pod. bterrik ordered some water and settled deep into thought.

OOC: Ok, GAJ, how is this gonna work? The 5 judge system that we had worked out?

GAJ and I were talking yesterday, and we had it worked out like this:

    5 Judges:

    Two Imperial:
    --Grand Admiral Jello
    --Protege of Thrawn

    Two Rebel:
    --Wildwookiee
    --bterrik

    One Neutral:
    --Darth Attourney

Are there any changes to this list? It looked as though this will be a good system.

I know that it might appear that I am somewhat biased :D ;) , but thats easy to fix. For the purposes of the trial, I will "forget" my characters biases and vote fairly based on evidence.

Believe me, I will do this. We had a trial at school, and I was baliff. Even though I had no stance on the issue, I discovered that, as you might expect, the jurors had been "tampered" with. Despite it being meaningless, you have no idea how pissed I was. If there is anything I hate more, it is an unfairly judged and decided trial.

OOC: I don't know. It might be the 5 judge system, or the 3 judge system.

    *********************************************

The Emperor raised his eyes at the twenty-five soldiers guarding the Vong. Obviously Rebel soldiers weren't quite a match for the Yuuzhan Vong.

5 or 3 makes little difference to me. Though FID might want to pick his defense team. I would suggest that he ask Warlord Ken and someone else to do so...also, I would like to have Both sided prosecute...to insure balance.

    The quarters/prison of the president

In a short flash of flame and smoke, a door appears in the President's quarters. Out of it steps a man and a woman. Both are dressed in a smart red buisness suits. The man has dark black hair and long sideburns. The Woman has vivid red hair which is tied in two short 'horns', and is carrying a clipboard tucked under one arm, a pen behind her ear. On the board is a scrawled red handwriting. When holorecords are gone over later, none of the Applegates converse was recorded on the Alliance video cameras, for this is only seen in Yarlik's mind. All they pick up is Yarlik's insane babbling.

Mr Applegate: Why hello Mr. President."

Yarlik: *turning from his viewport, he sees the figures and looks starled* Hello, who admitted you?

Ms Applegate: Oh no one 'admits' us.... *said in a sarcastic tone* You could just say we were passing through and we heard about your little situation........

Yarlik: Oh really? And what situation would that be? And what's to stop me from vaping you two where you stand?

Mr. Applegate: Oh please Mr President... Do try *said in a mocking tone*

Yarlik: *grinning widely* Don't tempt me.

Mr Applegate: *spreads his arms* by all means.

Yarlik: What do you want? I'm through playing games.

Ms Applegate: *smiles* Oh we are not playing any games dear sir.... we are here to offer your our 'assistance'

Yarlik: Assistance huh? Who says I need any? These proceedings work to benefit me.

Mr Applegate: Oh really? Do you know that even right now your own people plot against you?

Yarlik: Is that so huh? Says who?

    Ms Applegate: *forcefull* says us.

Yarlik: Any proof of this treason?

Ms Applegate: *chuckles* well why do you think he has you locked up in this cell of a room? He is going to let the Imperials tear you apart. Once he has their good graces, and you are out of the way, why he will just step right into your place.

Mr Applegate: I hear he even has the Vong attending this meeting

Yarlik: Who's 'he'? *quirks a suspicious brow*

Ms. Applegate: Why WW of course... You should trust us, we only have your best interests in mind....

Yarlik: Help? Last time I was offered help they locked me up. *grin* So you'll excuse me if I just don't get up and jump for joy.

Ms Applegate: Oh, we don't want to see you in chains good sir.

Yarlik: I think I'll suffice with the chains.

Mr Applegate: If you really don't want any help then...... *turns, both of them grinning madly*

Yarlik: Let's hear it. Since you came all this way.

    The Applegates turn, both grinning.

Mr Applegate: I knew you could be reasonable... Now this is what we have in mind....

((OOC: See buds? You have done it.... The president is talking to the Applegates...))

StormtrooperVF101 and his four bodyguards, one recently replaced step into the room, their armor newly cleaned and their blasters holstered, and set for stun, should anything go wrong. StormtrooperVF101 and his four bodyguards sit down on a bench closest to GAJ, and Zaarin.

    Eriadu, trial

The Morian raider members spread out through the crowd, mingling freely. The 6 Morian Assult Frigates and the Call of War stayed near the outskirts of the system as well as some other forces ready to be played as a trump card to help the Rebel defenses should the Imps continue their usual betrayals.

The Interdictor Star Destroyer Maggie appeared around the planet Euriadu. Originaly, Veng wanted to meet captain Fairdream and see her negotiations. He saw all of the orbitting SD's and began to wonder how strong was the Rebs.

"Comm officer, open communications with the traffic control officer."

    "Yessir"

The Comm buzzed, and then the main screen turned to a "waiting sign"

"This is Euriadu Traffic control, how may I help you?"
a traffic controller asked, obviously female aswell.

"This is Grand General Veng C'mano of the Corporate Sector Authority. What is going on here? Is this the normal defense fleet of Euriadu?" Veng asked

"No Sir, there is a trial going on, of our former President. Are you invited?" Veng was about to reply truthfully, but then he thought We're friends with Yarlick, at least I think we are. He would allow us in. besides, imps are here, and Fairdreams report said there were hostilities owards the two. besides, we might throw ourselves in with the rebs.

"Yes, I am invited. I wyll be down in a shuttle shortly, please clear a passagway for me. Cutt transmision." His Holowat Accent was coming out a bit, the "y" "I" switch...

"Internal Ops, call the motor pool, have my personal shuttle ready. I'm going to watch the proceedings." Veng Hoped this'll work out in the end as he walked out the bridge door.

"Sir, we have an Interdictor entering the system."

"Interesting... any make on it?" asked the Emperor.

"Yessir. Its markings match the Interdictor Entrapment."

"That is one of the ships we sold to the CSA?" he inquired, suddenly interested.

    "I assume so, Your Majesty."

Too many people are joining in... this could prove to be dangerous. I'll have to set up a weapons detector..

bterrik blinked at a report on his screen that a CSA interdictor had entered the system. Too many groups here and chaos will reign. bterrik thought. He hit is comm link.

"bterrik to Jello. Since you are supposedly the most secure man in the galaxy, I would like you to set up a weapons detector. Too many groups here." bterrik cut the connection and wispered under his breath, "And I'm lazy..."

Veng Got down onto the aerial platform near the "court house". He picked an empty box, marked it occupied and ordered a drink. he looked up and out, seeing the pillar where the president would be. He hated sitting around, doing nothing. The benches were to short to nap in, so Veng descided to take a strol amongst the busy hall ways.

Veng walked about, seeing some species he had never seen before. He wondered, had they ever seen a Holowat? His all black eyes locked onto an argument at the door.

One patron seemed unwilling to relieve himself of his side arm. good thing they don't pick up claws...

    *********************************************

A little scuffle was going on at the doorway, with a man refusing to give up his blaster. Must be one of those Rebels.... The Grand Admiral sighed... This really shouldn't concern someone as important as myself, but I'm as bored as a clown in a library.

"Excuse me, what is going on?" he asked.

The man barely gave him a glance, and pushed down a stormtrooper. The rest of them prepared to vaporize the man, but Jello held his hand up. "Nothing that concerns you."

He chuckled, his mood jovial. This one would be fun to play with.... "Nothing that concerns the Emperor of the entire known galaxy?"

The man stopped midbluster when he saw the two Imperial Sentinels. His body convulsed, and he aimed a shaky punch to the Emperor's head. Jello had de-activated his shield, and twisted to the side. He put his finger in the man's chest and added a slight bit of pressure. The man fell over.

As he re-activated his shield, he made an announcement, "Never provoke a fight when you are too drunk to stand up. Especially with the Emperor."

With the appearance of the Imperial Sentinels, protests regarding sidearm removal vanished.

A tall Caamasi in Imperial Governmental robes entered the chamber followed by his droid assistant IMP-22, recently arrived from the Corellian System. Following behind was the Imperial Ambassador to the Eriadu and the Alliance. They took a seat in between the Alliance and Imperial delegates. Tu'kla lent over to IMP-22

Tu'kla: Is the link to the Queen of Blades's sensor system running?

    IMP-22: Yes, master.

The two sat and waited for the procedings to begin

OOC: By the way, I'm not ploting against you...just being a loyal servant of the Alliance...upholding laws, standing firm in my morals...but, if you want, I could be a hypocritical turncoat who couldn't be trusted...which would you prefer? I will put Yarlik on trial to stand up for our way of life, and to prove that it works.

Marissa Fairdream wandered around the crowded hallways searching for someone who could tell her what was going on. She had many diffrent things concerning the way this trial was going to be run and no one could give her a sure answer.

I'll talk to Jello myself if I have to. I'm tired of this undecision, she thought to herself.

Marissa heard someone talking about there being a wepons check at the door to the court room. She also heard whispers about the Vong and the CSA. Well, well. Looks like Veng made it. Now all I have to do is find him....

I believe that we should call this court to order. I believe that this should be done by a vote by all justices present.

    I vote

    begin trial

Tu'kla scanned the room, noting where everyone sat. All the Imperials, excluding himself, IMP-22 and the ambassador sat on the left hand side of the chamber and the Alliance members on the right. Separating the two sides was his trio, a Yuuzhan Vong quartet a few levels down. On the other side was a few Coporate Sector Authority officials and some smuggler types who he did not recognize. So many people here could mean trouble for all of us. The leaders of the Alliance and Empire were in the same room. It could be a good chance to send both sides into confusion and push forward with thier invasion. He reassured himself that the small breath mask that he brought in under his robes was still there. He didn't trust anyone. Beneath his purple robes was a black environment suit, to make sure he didn't die if something went wrong during the trial, which he thought might happen.

He snapped his attention back as Gerul Cast of the Alliance called for order

Zaarin spoke into the microphone on his platform. "I also vote to begin the trial."
This was difficult as his right hand, his primary hand, had been crippled by the blaster shot. As soon as I get out of here I'll be needing a new hand the Caridan thought.

OOC: Actually the 25 soldiers are quite superfluous, but at something this important (and since this place isn't exactly a war zone, where everyone's armed) I'm not taking any chances. ;)

Hey you know what I just realized. Admiral WW misspelled "Yarlik". Or is that how it's actually spelled?
