FF:NZ The Trilogy comes to TV3?

I'm sitting here watching TV3 again (pathetic, yes I know). Well, at least until I change over to Ally McBeal at 8:30.

So far there's been three different ones:

Artoo and Threepio getting into the escape pod.

The "Help me Obi-Wan" seen in the garage.

and the bit in ROTJ when Luke flips up on the gantry.

None from ESB, as of yet.

 

If Sky haven't played them yet (and I'm pretty sure they haven't played the SE's), I doubt they'll be on in the near future.

 

This mornin my friend from Skool said he Saw the Revelation Scene from ESB the other nite...

 

well thats all 3 then
all we have to do now is cross our fingers and hope it is the SE

 

If they are playing all of them on TV it shouldn't be too hard to convince a theatre to show all of them the night before the tickets for Ep 2 go on sale. (just for the crazies that do the camp out)

Some people actually were crazy enough to camp out for Episode 1, outside the St James Theatre in Auckland. I've still got the news clip on tape, I think.

 

Im going to camp out for ep2 but with a pub next door to the movie thearter in Invercargill I am having second thoughts.

 

Second thoughts as whether to camp out at the theatre or the pub?

Anyone notice that a few NZ companies are trying to cash in on the Trilogy ads on TV? There is a biscuit ad that quite often is on straight after a Star Wars ad with the saying 'cross over to the dark side' at the end of it. The ad is for dark chocolate toffee pops I think.

 

The only time I have seen the Star Wars clips was at the end of the ad-break before the 'on next' segment. I also haven't seen them for a few days . . . are they still showing?

 

I don't watch much TV3, so I'm not sure if the adverts are still playing, but I know that dark chocolate Toffee Pops advert has been on for a while before I saw any Star Wars ones.

The chocolate companies started producing white chocolate ("Snow") versions of everything: Toffee Pops, Mallowpuffs, etc. Now it looks like they're moving onto dark chocolate versions too.

I guess those who eat chocolate are happy.

 

Put mallowpuffs in the microwave fo 15 sec and all the marshmallow goes all runny and they taste really nice

 

I still haven't seen an ad, mind you I only really watch TV3 at news time. and mondays of course with That 70's Show and Malcom

 

I haven't seen it either, mind you I don't watch TV at all.

I used to work for Griffins, when the whole "snow" biscuit thing took off. Im sick of looking at chocolate biscuit packets. I dont like white choc either, but Toffee Pops are still yum.

I wonder if you leave Mallowpuffs in the microwave long enough will they explode or just melt into a puddle? its experiment time.... damn, dont have any mallowpuffs.

I just saw the "Help me Obi-wan Kenobi" clip from ANH. It was on straight after Will & Grace.

Still no more info though.

The Luke/Vader fight clip was on straight after Charmed too.

I'm wondering if it's just some sort of lead-up to the Episode I movie, rather than the showing of the older episodes.

 

just saw the revalation scene, (end of it) while I was flicking thru. then Home improvement came on so I HAD to turn it off.

 

i just saw the one where that machine is puting vaders helmet on and he says all to easy or something

Uh huh. 5 nights a week at 7pm.

It seems the best times to see the clips now are between programs. Tonight, there was one between Home Improvement and Providence, and then one after Providence.

Still haven't seen any of the ESB ones
But the quality looks really good, too good to be anything but the special editions.

Edit: okay, finally seen the ESB one, after nightline. Here are all the clips, from what I've seen:

1: ANH, Artoo and Threepio entering the escape pod. "Don't you call be a mindless philosopher . . . ."

2: ANH, Luke finding the hologram of Leia. "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi"

3: ESB, a montage of Vader shots, with loud Vader breathing. First one shows the helmet coming down on his head, then him sitting in his meditation chamber. Then changes to him exiting the shuttle at the start of ROTJ, then changes back to him during the revelation scene, saying "Come with me".

4: ROTJ, a quick montage of clips from the ROTJ duel.

 

There was a BIG ad on just then, after That 70's Show.

All four movies confirmed to be played over a month. Special Editions. Woohoo!

To advertise the Special Editions, they used the full Special Edition trailer, with basically the same voiceover dialogue (just with a few minor adjustments). For Episode I, they used the trailer (first trailer, I think, I can't actually remember).

They said they're "Coming Soon"...
