Seems like we're in a kind of golden age of subscription tv. The Netflix Marvel programming is almost infinitely better than the Marvel movies. There's so much content in paid services, and some of it is good. Outlander on Starz. Veep. The first season of Game of Thrones. Two episodes of Girls.

it is possible to go to the movies and not drain the souls of others. If this is a problem for the OP, then they just outed themselves as a ginger. It is widely known that gingers get their freckles from stealing souls and all gingers have freckles. If the OP is soul-draining at the movies it's clear the OP is a ginger.

Look I'm not 100% sure, because they haven't yet made a film about Nicolas Cage taken down a coven of redheads but I think a ginger just has to be within a certain proximity to someone to steal their soul. The older the red-head, the further they can extend their soul drain power.

Gingers who reach a certain level of power lose their red hair and go white so they're effectively incognito. They're the most powerful of all.

Certain kind of movies make feel sleepy. I can't seem to handle boring dramatic and animated films.

 

Well, OP, I haven't been to movies much since 2009, 3 new films a year is a lot. I haven't seen anything this year yet. I prefer older films because I get the whole package, not just stories and characters and good acting, but everything is great to look at and listen to.

While I am greatly disappointed that a Disney animation exec's words have come true (Spectacle over story), like any other fannish thing I enjoy, I am selective about what I see. And if American movies have you down, world cinema has a lot of wonderful films to offer too.

After this year, it'll probably be screenings of older films more than anything else for me.
