Here we go. Here's a thread to talk about the TV shows we all love/hate.

My personal staples of last season were:

    24
    House
    Lost
    George Lopez
    How I Met Your Mother
    My Name is Earl
    The Simpsons

I've been wanting to get into The 4400 but keep missing it, need to watch season one, is it any good?

I've also never seen an episode of Battlestar Galactica! So I must make a point of catching it at some point.

I'm looking forward to the new episodes of Futurama too.

Did anybody see the MTV Movie awards?

Just the on award for Star Wars for Best Villan.

On the plus side the awesome Gnarls Barkley performed in Star Wars Costumes!

    Check it Out

I got their album a few weeks ago, it's pretty good. Highlights are Crazy & Smiley Faces.

Did anybody see the shockingly bad TV series of Blade?

I watched the first 20 minutes. It was dreadful. Every aspect of it was woeful. The actor was trying to hard to imitate Wesley Snipes and failer miserably, the costume look awful, made the guy look overweight. Fight sequences we rubbish.

Overall I give it an F.

There were none in the first 20 mins, even with a dirty cop going through the Red light district!

For those of you who liked Shaun of the Dead you must check out Spaced on BBC America. It's really really good, loads of SW and other film references in it all the time, it's fun to spot them!

They are showing it at a cinema in the OC in August, I'm so going to it as I missed it at the cinema, I have the UK DVD version that has the full whack of extras on it!

For me, it sort of went over the deep end and I lost interest. My son still loves it! My preference is SG-1 and SG-Atlantis. Those two started Friday. I think BSG may have also.

I loved the SG movie although it was a bit short for what it required.

I never got into the series. Dunno why, just didn't feel the same as the movie for me.

Maybe I'll get a few eps of BSG from itunes.

I was just the opposite for SG1. The movie didn't do much for me, but I loved the series. Especially with Richard Dean Anderson, alias McGyver.

I loved the SG movie, and I watched SG1 only occasionally. But now that Mr. Crichton is on it [face_blush] ...well, I watch as much as I can watch anything nowadays...which isn't often :(

ooooohhhhh, 2 more Stargate movies possibly coming from MGM after the director signed a mulit picture deal. Follow ups to the film and totally seperate from the TV stuff.

Finally saw an Ep of Battlestar Galactica. Didn't like the episode i saw, using Roman Gods yadda yadda, all be done and used way too much now. Going to tivo some more and see if I can get into it.

This looks good Life On Mars it's a UK show, a crime set in 2006/1973. Going to check it out tonight, they kept pluggin it during The Avengers all weekend.

May I suggest you start at the beginning? It will make a little more sense. I think it was better at the start anyway, but that's just my opinion.

They only show it once a week on Sci-Fi at the moment and it's a 2am! :_|

I see Babylon 5 is making a new appearance on DVD, that was a great show, except for the spin-offs.

I'm still waiting on the Red Dwarf film, it's going to be hilarious! If you've not seen the TV series then you gotta see it! It's a must for all geeks!

I loathe Netflix because the owner's aim is to put cinema out of business!

    Cinema >>>>>>>>> Small Screen.

Interesting point of view. Do you ever rent from Blockbuster and such? To me, it's the same thing. I used to go to Blockbuster, but when I was charged $12 for a 4 hour late fee I stopped renting from them and haven't been there since.

Nothing against rentals. Just Netflix. The Owner came out and said he wants to put cinema out of business.

I used to have Netflix till he annonced that then I decided to bin it.

Did anybody see that "Who wants to be a superhero?" on Sci-Fi?

What a totally pointless show! The only reason to watch it is for Major Victory, seems to th ethe only one not taking it too seriously.

Some people will do anything to be on TV!

    Why Stan Lee? Why?
