well since im bored out of mind at school here i was just surfing around the net. I noticed a couple places (not casinos) already selling advanced tickets. The movie is out on the 18th which is really soon. So i was wondering if we should all try and go to the midnight showing together. If so we should try to decide on a place and then find out info on a midnight showing. This movie is gonna kick a** :D

    YES!!

The Twin Suns Syndicate will do a midnight showing. Once we have a place picked out for sure, we will make it official!

We have already talked to one of the managers at the Green Valley Ranch and he is going to have the person in charge of promotions there send us a PR package for the film. As of last week though he still wasn't sure if they were going to do a midnight showing. If they do then I think that we shoulg go there. Otherwise we have our "midnight showing of cool movies staple" at Sam's Town where we saw both the Fellowship of the Ring and Star Wars Episode II.

I'm done with going to Sams Town. I like GV ranch and all, but when that place is packed it is so freaking crowded i want to vomit. Sams town was nice and comfortable... Plus there is the whole continuity thing what with the first Lord of the rings and episode II as Moka was saying earlier.... that just my opinion... peace out

I don't know about Sam's Town. I was pretty ticked off with their treatment of Star Wars nerds. Herding us all into that small space was not cool, especially for fat jedi like me. I would much rather do the Sunset Station thing like we did for Episode I, we got to stand outside where it was nice and cool then. Thats my vote, perhaps we should make a poll...

I'll see it anywhere, but Sams Town has the DLP projectors so it'd be a better picture there anyway.

O.K. everybody here is the downlow. A member of the TSS happpens to be one of the managers at the green valley ranch theater. He has informed us that the GV ranch will be receiving five reels of the Two Towers and will loop three of those reels so that the film will be playing in eight of their ten theaters. According to our inside source they are planning to so a midnight showing in all eight theaters. I will post when I find out more but tell me what you guys think.

I am cool with the GVRanch. It is right off the 215, and it's a nice enough place.

To my knowledge, Two Towers was not filmed digitally so seeing it in a DLP equipped theater won't have the benefit that Attack of the Clones did.

So GV Ranch is cool with me.

Anyone interested in going to Neonopolis for the midnite showing? I know the manager there and he is a really cool guy. Has anyone made or have a LOTR type costume? Since I'm into the costuming thing my Emperor costume also seconds as a Gandalf the grey costume(which I wore at the Ren -faire this year)
If someone else goes in garb I'll put the makeup on.

The main reason I've been going to Neonopolis is it's new, the management is very nice and there is plenty to do in the area if you get there early. Before 10PM Jillians allows under 21 upstairs. After 10 PM it's 21 and over.

Oh, it's right next to the freeway so it's easier for people to get in and out of and more central than alot of the others.

...Talon, you're right they didn't film it in digital BUT if it's showing on the DLP it will be a little better and brighter picture none the less. Also I believe Sams Town and Orleands has the best sound, Orleans has THE best sound though. Like I said earlier though, I'll see it anywhere!

Neonopolis I havn't been in but it's true it is pretty central for everyone.

It's a big reasn why we chose that theatre for Ep2 last spring. It's a central location and the parking lot elevator takes you straight to the theatre. I agree the Orleans ahs the best sound but are they doing a midnite showing? For those that miss the evening time maybe a bunch can get together there during the weekend. My cell is(702)523-9487 if we decide on downtown.

We will more than likely go to 1. Sams Town or 2. GVRanch (because of our TSS connection there)

Once I have worked out the details, I will post them here!

As they say in my online game... WOOT!

If I had a choice I'd pick Sam's Town just cause I forget how to get to GreenValley Ranch and it's more central.

GV Ranch is much easier to get to and more central than Sam's Town and has a member of TSS as the manager. That gets my vote. In fact I will probably be going there everytime I see it.

That's cool with me I just need to remember how to get there. I'll dig out my membership card to so I can get some free goodies. Does the midnite showing look like it's selling out? Just curious if I should buy my ticket now or just wait til I get there.
Is anyone planning on wearing LOTR type costumes?

...I bought the "Fellowship of the Ring" DVD box set and it came with a free movie ticket to "Two Towers," anyone know how I'm supposed to redeem that? Can I just bring it to the box office?

I don't plan on wearing a costume by the way...

GV Ranch is right off of the 215 at the GV exit. You can't miss it.

I'm not sure about the ticket redemption, I'd ask Donnie about that.

I would love to go in costume, but don't have the money to put together one worth wearing. I figured about $500 for a really nice dwarf and about $200 for a decent Hobbit. That's for fabric and accessories, armor and helm for dwarf and of course the excess amount of hair. Although I think I can cover the Hobbit feet without help!

Concerning the free ticket, if the back says Regal Cinemas, you should be able to use it, in my opinion.

We are waiting for the official word on which theater (of the 8) at GVRanch to buy tickets for. Two of their screens are larger than the others, we want to make sure to get one of those.

I won't be going in costume, Bleyd. Although we may do some giveaways for those in line. :)
