Something about the "Best - looking AG he'd ever seen.' It was probably something made in jest (especially if, as VadersLaMent points out, the two have been friends for a long time), but of course given that Fox and their allies look for any and everything to bash the President on, they pounced on it and called it sexist and he decided to apologize to her.

Sometimes I think political correctness gets taken way too far.

Well, I guess we needed a comedic element to things in the next primary season, I suppose.

 

I doubt Perry will ever get even remotely close to the White House, given that his brief run, actually made George W. Bush seem like a intellectual genius by comparison.

 

Shockingly enough, men and women are still viewed differently by society. Women are judged much more by their appearance, and there are disproportionately few women authority figures like Kamala Harris. The President certainly didn't mean anything by it and it's mild compared to the kinds of remarks people get away with, but don't act like the complainers don't have a point or that they're Fox News making up a fake controversy. Ugh.

I don't really think it's controversial, since... Obama says it to guys all the time... Kamala Harris is his friend... and even in that very statement he was talking about her professional accomplishments, calling her brilliant and dedicated, etc.


Still, it would have been better if he didn't say it.

Plus Obama is wrong, he obviously hasn't seen Florida's Attorney General
