The blame for Hillary not winning lies squarely on Clinton and her campaign.

I would argue a broken system given far too much credit through masturbatory self-reverence did that for you.

Pretty ingenious plan? It was a direct circumvention of three separate legislative amendments ( collectively known as the Boland Amendment) expressing clear Congressional intent limiting assistance to the Contras. Oliver North and his merry band of constitutional insurgents should have all gone to jail.

I can list what I approve of in Trump. Here goes:

His anti global capitalist rhetoric and promises.
    His anti-lobbying rhetoric and promises.
The theme tune to The Apprentice.

Pretty much everything else is despicable. God, just look at him.

I largely blame candidates for not winning elections because I despise the "attack/blame the voter" response. It's Hillary's fault for losing. It's Bernie's fault for losing. It's Cruz's fault for losing. At the end of the day, it's the candidate and their team's job to win the necessary votes in the right places in accordance with the rules of the election that they agreed to beforehand, and no one is owed a vote from anybody. Is our system broken? Yes. If you know anything about me you know I support large changes in how the American government works, including things liked preference voting (ranked choice). But this was a system that needed to have been changed before the election, and we can't just heap blame upon it for two weeks after an election result we don't like and then never do anything about it (hello 2000).
What's ender going to do, kill my Watch Dogs character if I disagree?

So what do you do about it?

In other news, Trump is looking at Jon Huntsman Jr. for Sec. of State. That would be the best choice so far out of all the candidates currently being looked at.

Vivec assumes that somewhere there is an effective counter-method to dealing with populists. I don't know, maybe Austria has the key?

    Things I like about Trump:

He would let Caitlyn Jenner use the women's room in Trump Tower.

He told Kevin where the lobby was.

    That's it at the moment.

If he actually does leave same-sex marriage and certain provisions of the ACA alone, I will appreciate him more than I appreciate others in his party.

They just dealt with it effectively because they are more mature and better educated. They also have a history dealing with rampaging populists.

Obviously there is a counter method. Bernie Sanders lost, no?
It's this smugness that lost Clinton the election.

Americans are terrible and consistently make poor decisions.

But this loss is on Clinton. Her team made major miscalculations in terms of attacking Trump(focusing oh him being a terrible person, instead of a corrupt, free-loading business man) and ignoring the Rustbelt. A charlatan like Trump should have never been able to shape-shifted into some sort of populist. Obama and even her husband would have destroyed that narrative.

The Democratic party is trying to reach out to the young people by electing a party leadership in Congress whose average age is SEVENTY-SIX.
