?Hey now, don?t fret Liylnia,? Kit said, stroking the pretty hair of the girl who clung to her. She made the soothing noises known instinctively by all older siblings and steered the young messenger towards the nearest bunk. Kit exchanged a glance with Jace, nothing more than a friendly ?so much for a quiet night? smile, but caught the consternation on her new friends face. It was then she noticed that Jace held a piece of parchment. ?I?d completely missed that? she wondered, before turning her attentions back to Liylnia.

?Now, what?s all this about us being sent away??

There was a moment, when the girl looked up into the female fighter?s eyes and looked like she would speak, but instead she burst into chest heaving sobs again, stopping any conversation with her tears and carrying on. Kitlin has seen Liylnia in the town, and had never noticed this propensity towards hysterics. Either it was a clever trick or something had really scared the girl. Keeping a comforting arm around the messenger as they both sat down, Kit looked over the sobbing girl?s head and mouthed a question to comrade-in-arms.

?What?s that?? she asked, nodding towards the letter.

Winston

"Ah, my friend, being a Knight does not halt one's right to elaborate on the beauty of Mother Nature and making a few friends along the way. Name's T'aren. If you would like to enter the city, I will escort you if you wish, as I have nothing further to do tonight. If not, I shall be on my way."

Gods below, these Knights like to gab. reflected Winston, seizing the oppurtunity.

"No thank you, sir, I will be on my wa-"

He was interrupted by the arrival of a long-haired, muscular, tatooed hippy type.

"Can ye speak sooth of our Mother's Nature?"
he asked, a smile playing on his mouth. Winston shuffled a little way along the bridge to avoid him. But that meant he was getting closer to the Knight, and his horse...

"No, I'm afraid I can't." he replied, a trifle snappishly. The zombie was about to move past the two humans but instead caught his foiot on a knothole in the bridge, falling forward and catching the handrail that was out over the water. A blue light flared briefly around his hand before he straightened up. Winston noticed the humans were staring at him, probably due to the water-ward he was using to allow him to cross the river.

"Oh, gods."

IC: Curunír, Location: Quandanlore, Callanthorith

A young man who could be no older then 24 stumbled into a tavern. He wore ripped clothes laced with chain mail. His face was bloody and his left leg looked fractured. He limped over to a barstool and sat down. A man approached him from behind and stammered in a drunken manner "Hey.... you that that... was my seat."

With that the drunk withdrew a dagger and slashed toward the man. With suprising quickness for one so wounded the man withdrew a dagger in kind and parried the blow of the drunk easily then with the same inhuman speed pinned the mans hand to the table. Leaving it there.

Than the young man moved up to the bar and tossed the bartender some coin to pay for the damages and his first drink. Satisfied the bartender an old man in his mid 60s handed the man his drink and asked him his name. "Curunír, my name is Curunír."

"Now may I ask you a question, do you know where a doctor is to see about all this and a tailor perhaps for some new clothes." The bartender pointed up the street "There both up there, the doctor is the last building on the left and the tailor is across the street."

Curunír smiled his first smile in a while at that info. After finishing his drink in relative peace and quiet as it was late at night and many of the drunks were returning home. Upon his last sip Curunír said sadly "I'm sorry I have no more money to pay you for that information."

The bartender made a a sweeping gesture with his hands and said "No problem that drunk was a bad man you did me a favor in pinning his hand to that table."

"No problem I'm here to help" finished Curunír and with a flourish he twisted on his good foot and limped out the door. After what seemed like a lifetime with his bad foot Curunír arrived at the doctor's office. Someone was there lucky for Curunír she let him in. He gave her half of his money and she let him lay down. She said that a cleric would be there in the morining to fix his wounds. With a smile the girl walked out and blew out the candles leaving Curunír in total darkness. Before the final candle was fully out Curunír was sound asleep.

Curunír awoke at about noon the next day. He looked down at his leg and it was healed, he then went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror his face wounds were gone also. Then he took off his shirt revealing a muscle bound chest and abs. Though long scars still marred his chest and back. The Cleric was good but not that good, though Curunír was fond of his wounds they showed he was strong to endure such pain, plus they were a hit with the ladies.

With a wave to the pretty girl from the night before Curunír walked out the door, and across the street to the tailor. The Tailor's door opened with a merry jingle and the Tailor gave a merry laugh when he saw Curunír's ripped clothes. He looked curiously at the Golden Raven emblem that was emblazoned on Curunír's surcoat. He said he could have all of it done in about ten minutes but the armor he couldn't help with. Sure enough ten minutes later the Tailor returned his fingers still slightly glowing from his use of magic. First Curunír put on his white undershirt and green breeches. Next his mail coat went on, it had some holes in it but it was repairable. After that his green surcoat with the Golden Raven emblem went on. Over the surcoat went a belt with about 3 daggers and a longsword on it. Finally a long green cloak with many patches of different shades of green went on to cap it off.

Curunír pulled up the hood and paid the man for his services and went off in search of something interesting to do.

Location: Wesrah'das Abbey, City of Men, Manrenthain, North Eastern Callanthorith

Mezzanie smiled as she turned in her sleep, dreaming a very pleasant dream of her..... and a guy..... at a trendy cafe... sharing a meal....

And then a slamming of doors...

Hmmm?

Mezzanie stretched as she rolled around in bed. There was another banging, this time nearer by. And footsteps in the halls? The Priestess furrowed her brow as she listened. No. It was far too early for a crisis. Then she heard something new. Men's voices. In a womens' only monastary? What was going on here?

Mezzanie rolled out of bed, her hair all a mess and wearing only but her sleeping gown. She tore open her door and walked out into the hall, almost bumping into a knight as he passed. There were a few confused priestesses in the hall, but most of them were either elsewhere or in their rooms. The Mother Superior would never let a man's foot touch the stones of Wesrah'das, so why were they here?

Unless...

No....

No, no, no, no, no....

Unless The Mother Superior wasn't here.

Mezzanie turned back to her room, quickly grabbing her staff and moving into the hall. She realized for a fleeting second that she must have looked ridiculous, rushing out into the hall in an emerald nightgown and carrying a staff. Certainly the men would be.... thrown off.

A trooper rounded the hallway, heading towards somewhere important no doubt. Mezzanie raised her staff in front of her, dispelling a bright light from its tip to catch the man's attention. If he didn't slow, she would put up a barrier.

"I'm afraid you're going to have to go." she said to the man. "You're violating our sacred space. Whatever is happening here, we don't allow men on our premises."

The Priestess readied herself. She couldn't allow this to stand. If the Mother Superior wasn't present to enforce the rules, someone would have to step up and do it. And Mezzanie was willing to be that someone.

Lyra Nall- Necromancer
City of Men

It was dark when Lyra arrived in the City of Men. Atticus lightly whinnied. "I got us here in two and a half days, this time. I think that should earn me a night in the pasture with a nice looking mare!"

Smiling, Lyra patted her white stallion on the back. "We'll see. Let's go see if Mink's up. I got to find out if I'm needed anywhere."

"That old hog!" The horse snorted. "I say you find yourself another middle man. Or just a man in general."

Lyra promtly shooved her heels into Atticus's side. "Enough of that, someone might hear you. Just head on over to Mink's shop. If he's not there, I'll go to the pub and see if I can hear about any trouble. Sound good?" The horse nodded his white head. "Good. Get moving, sir."

*****

To Lyra's dismay, Mink the Smithy wasn't in his shop. With a sigh, Lyra led Atticus to the Pub. After tying him to the post, and patting him on the nose, she entered the smokey atmosphere of the Pub. To tired to care that she still had on her badolier of bells on, Lyra sat in a dark corner with her pint of the local brew, her dark green eyes searching the area over her cup. Hopefully she would find a job. She hated going back to her place. She was there all by herself. Yes, it was filled with servants made of the charter, but they couldn't talk... and Atticus could be hard to talk to at times. Takeing another sip, she waited.

IC: Yavscout, G-54, some copse with a young woman and knee-high spider

The elf was caught off guard when the spider fired a strand of sticky white silk onto the tip of his sword and backed off sharply, attempting to pull him off balance.
The tactic worked only too well, Yavscout unbalanced and stumbling, the ground coming up to meet him, his chest and torso body-slamming onto the spider with a sickening crunch of exo-skeletal chitin and snapped legs.

Aware that he had the advantage, the paramedic rolled about a bit before pushing himself to his knees, grimacing as he brushed spider shrapnel and yellow-green ichor from the front of his tunic.

The woman then gave him a frelling heart attack by leaping on him in delight and wrapping an arm round his neck.

?You did it!? She yelled into his ear. ?I thought I was so dead.?

Trying not to collapse under her weight, he contemplated the remains of the ex-arachnid.

?Yeah. They?re going to have to re-visit that strategy back at spider school.?

The woman started snuffling with relief into the cloth of his shirt, but her weight wasn?t on him any more, so he let her continue, patting her on the shoulder.

?There there. It?s over now. What?s your name??

?My name is Alina.? She sniffed. ?How can I ever repay you??

Not yelling in my ear and jumping on my ass would be reward enough, he thought to himself, but did not voice aloud, for elves did not get their reputation as the Beautiful People by giving into the temptation for sarcy remarks, and he had a responsibility to his long-lived species.

?I and my companions are new to this land. Your assistance in finding settlements would be most welcome, my lady.?

Alina stood back and regarded her benefactor. She ignored his comment about companions for the moment.

?You are visitors to this land? Well, the nearest town is that of Quandanlore, located many wheels north of here. It is the Trade or Merchant City, and traders from all over Callanthorith congregate there to buy and sell their wares.?

Yavscout nodded. ?Will we be able to get transport or horses from there to travel onto other cities, should this?Quandanlore, be unable to serve our needs??

?Of course.? Alina nodded.

The elf held her gently by the elbow and guided her gently from the copse.

?Come on, the sooner we get you to your wagon and collect my friends, the better.?

MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY: I'd just like to share a rather brilliant piece of writing, in the form of a quote, from a post that I only managed to read very recently for the first time.

Winston nodded back, carefully. When your head's held on by staples you don't tend towards sudden movement.

- Winston (Livi-Wan), a former human, now zombie.

Until such time as someone else manages to impress me so, Livi-Wan, I'm recognising that little line as the best one in this thread to-date. Truly amusing, not the least of which because it's so true to character and appropriate for the scenario at hand.

Saber_Leader, Darth_Vaders_cousin, Thok

Earlier ...

Night (Midnight)

Golden Sun, Quandanlore, Callanthorith

Twilight gave way to darkness, and nightfall was soon upon Quandanlore. Jaminon stirred his cup, a honey-brown liquid within it, and glanced about him. Hours had passed since his first entry, and many of the Sun's patrons had already headed home for the night. Even though the Golden Sun remained open until morning, Jaminon knew that it was time that he, too, best be going.

He hardly noticed the stirrings around him, some patron's mumbling and others snoring given the late hour. Jaminon simply rose to his feet and walked past Tal Yenas, headed straight toward the main exit, stumbling outside. He was so very tired and he needed to rest, but not in a place like the Sun. He needed a soft bed.

Jaminon wandered into the night, walking the streets alone. His coins jingled as if to announce his presence in the midst of the silence that eclipsed all else. The merchant knew not that he was Derk's target, nor did he realise that it was an evening he would not soon forget, as he searched for an appropriate place of lodging.

Now ...

It was past midnight and Cayrn Stormbringer had been out way past his bedtime. He would need to return home, which was exactly where he was headed when he crossed the road near the Golden Sun, a popular tavern within the merchant city of Quandanlore. As he walked through the street, however, a patron exiting the tavern caught his attention.

Cayrn recognised the man easily enough. It was Jaminon, a very successful merchant. The man had lived in Callanthorith for as long as Cayrn could remember, and, as far as he knew, the merchant's location of preference was indeed the Trade City.

"Hello, master Cayrn," the merchant called out. "A good evening to you, dear boy!"

There was something awkward about the man's tone, and his measure of speech. He seemed to slur his words. No doubt he had become intimately acquainted with some of the Golden Sun's house wine before leaving the establishment. Jaminon laughed and waved merrily as he stumbled along toward Cayrn; the merchant walked as if trying to balance himself while the earth quaked.
Imperial_Hammer

Twilight (Before Dawn)

Wesrah'das Abbey, City of Men, Manrenthain, North Eastern Callanthorith

Mezzanie turned back to her room, quickly grabbed her staff and moved into the hall. She realised for a fleeting second that she must have looked ridiculous, rushing out into the hall in an emerald nightgown and carrying a staff. But, if she expected the soldiers to be thrown off by her appearance, she was wrong.

A trooper rounded the hallway, heading towards somewhere important no doubt. Mezzanie raised her staff in front of her, dispelling a bright light from its tip to catch the man's attention. If he didn't slow, she would put up a barrier.

"I'm afraid you're going to have to go," she said to the man, blocking his path. "You're violating our sacred space. Whatever is happening here, we don't allow men on our premises."

What she received in response was not a surprised expression, or a thoughtful one, or at all a curious one.

Cayrn Stormbringer

Quandanlore, Callanthorith

It was getting rather late in the evening by the time Cayrn had started on his way home. It was nearly midnight as he approached the Golden Sun on his path home. From inside, a man stumbled out in a drunken stupor, obviously not able to walk in any sort of safe fasion. At first, Cayrn payed no attention to the man whom had left the bar. Probably just another drunk. I wish people wouldn't keep throwing their life away like that. But then, the man steadied himself momentarily to make eye contact with Cayrn, and that is when he also recognized the drunk man well.

"Hello, master Cayrn," the merchant called out. "A good evening to you, dear boy!"

Obviously poor Jaminon had had a fair amount to drink during his stay at the Golden Sun. But other than his demenor, something did not sit well with Cayrn. The thought of a weathier man such as Jaminon walking alone in the streets at this time of night did not seem like the most safe of situations. Reaching out to the old man as he gently walked towards him, Cayrn took the man and steadied him as he adjusted his footing once again.

"Are you alright Jaminon? Do you need some help getting home?"

IC: Yavscout, Alina, Yavinelf, Debgate, outside Quandanlore city walls.

Drawn by two chestnut brown horses, the simple box cart pulled up as it neared the city walls that sprang up from the ground and now dominated the horizon.

It had been some hours since Alina?s cart had picked up the rest of Surefall Paramedics, and it had been a fairly pleasant if boring journey.

All three Antonicans gazed at the yellowing stone walls in interest.

?You want me to scout closer?? Yavscout volunteered.

The half-elf leader shook his head. ?This close, best to stay on the cart. We don?t want to be acting suspicious this close to a city?s defenses. That?s what the gnolls attacking Qeynos never figured out; they were not being cut down because they were gnolls. If they just strolled up like everyone else, half the time the guards wouldn?t have bothered them.?

Alina nodded, saying something to her horses as she did something to their reins. ?Sensible, Master Elf. I shall take us round to the main entrance.?

Inside the Bear's Rest, Manrenthain

Maximus stared down the green beast. He had never seen such a creature within the walls of Manrenthain, the city of men. How this stranger had entered the protected walls, Maximus did not know. The more important question was if this reptile-like-beast a friend or foe? He had helped the Noble Knights in their struggle, but slay half the population within in Bear's Rest in doing so.

The creature had a puzzled expression as it mimicked Maximus and Ronin's questions. The Knight slowly reached for his sword. Thus far the sword managed to be clean of any blood, he hoped it would stay that way. As Maximus slowly moved closer to the stranger, it turned around quickly and darted out the back door. Maximus followed in a quick fashion and ran after the lizard.

He soon began to wonder where Douglas had gone, he hoped he was still outside and could quickly intercept the runner.

Maximus kept on the stranger's tail, literally. He wanted to catch him. He wanted to know what his business in Manrenthain was and how he got within the protected walls. But most importantly, he wanted to know why this creature help fight the raging drunkards. He wanted answers and would stop at nothing to get them.

Location: Wesrah'das Abbey, City of Men, Manrenthain, North Eastern Callanthorith

Mezzanie was.... well.... suprised. The guard didn't do anything! He didn't so much waiver in his expression, simply frowning and looking very very serious. Mezzanie's will to engage the man in combat suddenly flickered and faded. She knew she probably could take him, but should she? What would Mother Superior do?

You had best pack your things. Move along to the assembly hall. There has been an incident." the knight held up a hand, shook his head once, and maintained his no-nonsense frown. "To the assembly hall. Now."

She stood for a moment, her green eyes flittering to the guards, then to the floor, her mind a flurry of thought. If she resisted, the guard would probably bring even more troopers to bear. She might even be committing a crime against Manrethain. And that would not be good, for her or for the Order. The Priestesses of this abbey were always known to be good women.

Mezzanie slowly turned to walk towards the assembly hall, joining the herd of Priestesses being gestured towards the place. There were the Temple Priestesses, demure and timid, almost running away from the troopers. They were the ones herded like frightful rabbits. Then there were the Traveling Priestesses, like Mezzanie. Those were the ones that were putting up the most objection, tan and strong, each debating with herself what to do against these intruders. And then, in the Middle, the High Priestesses, wise enough to forge the middle path, not foolish enough to either run or fight. They carried themselves regally and with grace, as they should.

As Mezzanie made her way into the large assembly hall, she could see it already full with many of the women in the Church. Where was Misty? Or Lissel? Her close friends would know what was going on. Where the heck were they?

Mezzanie maneverered through the crowd, listening to the voices of the women as they talked intensly about what all happened. Investigation. Mother Superior. Murder. Invasion. All sorts of words were being thrown around, and the chaos was palpable. She really needed to find someone she could talk to.

Alina reined in the horses and clutched at her chest, leaning forward in the riding seat of the simple box cart.

?What?s wrong?? Yavscout put a hand out to steady the woman. ?What is it??

?I fear it is already too late.?

?Quit being so cryptic and tell us what is wrong!? Yavinelf ordered sternly, returning his colleagues? stares of disapproval.

?Wesrah'das Abbey, in the City of Men. The Mother Superior is missing!?

"So?" The half-elf looked at the druid over her lowered shoulders and raised an eyebrow.
The elf shrugged back. ?Look, maybe she popped out to the bakers. Nice fresh bread, still hot from the kiln ... or is that pottery??

?No. She was taken-?

?to the bakers, perhaps??

?No!? Alina was really in a state now, contorted face a deep pink as she knotted her fists into the chest of her frill-fronted outfit. And rocked. ?Look. I can help you with your quest, but someone has to get to the Abbey now.?

?I?ll go.? Debgate volunteered, ?but??

The leader looked up at her and shook his head sharply. She way outsized him, by about two feet, but he still regarded her like his little sister. This was proceeding way too fast for his liking, and he liked it even less when the woman brightened and produced a gold ring from somewhere.

?Take this.? She said, dropping it into Deb?s surprised hands. ?It will get you to the Abbey instantly.I am the Guardian of the Ring.?

?Whoa. Wait a minute.? Yavinelf continued hotly as the others looked towards him. ?I don?t know if you read the small print, lady, but if you?re the guardian, it means you look after it through thick and thin, not just hand it across to a complete stranger at the first twinge of angina?

?I want to help.? Debgate insisted, leaning in to comfort Alina.

The half-elf felt like only he was a aware of a degree of rail-roading. ?Yavscout can go. He-?

?No. it has to be woman.?

?Yavscout can go.?

?Hey!?

?Enough. I?m going.? Deb slipped the ring onto the index finger of her right hand, and the effect was instantaneous, and not dissimilar to the emergency transport spell she possessed back home.
The gates of Quandanlore and the horses in front of her disappeared, and then she was among a gaggle of frightened looking women in long cassock-like robes, being herded down a stone-flagged corridor by burly men in armour and leather.

She turned brightly towards the closest of the frightened females.

?Hail, good lady. I'm with Surefall Paramedics and I?m here to help. What?s going on??

Mezzanie wrestled through the crowd, ducking and weaving here and there to avoid the crowds of priestesses quite deep in conversation with eachother. The sheer din of their voices was like a roar, filling up and crowding out the hall. Some were unhappy that they had been pulled out of their beds so early in the morning. Some were angry that men had entered their sacred space, the knights charging in their like they owned the place. Some were frustrated that the proper chain of command was not being followed.... shouldn't another high priestess be put in charge? And some were frightened at rumors of what might have happened to mother superior.

For Mezzanie, she had all of these emotions and yet none of them at all. She just wanted to find her friends, get some information, and then get some action done. She wasn't going to let her Order get abused like this.... but in order to do anything, she needed some friends.

She wasn't even looking when suddenly she almost bumped into a strange looking woman.

?Hail, good lady. I'm with Surefall Paramedics and I?m here to help. What?s going on?? the stranger said.

Mezzanie took a step back and looked at the woman. She most definitely wasn't a priestess, as her garments were more utilitarian and useful. Not to mention that she said what she was, a paramedic. But what was this outsider doing inside a room full of priestesses?

Whatever. Now was not the time to be confused by such things. Mezzanie would take all the help she could get. And if these people were with the government, perhaps they could usher the guards out of the Abbey.

"I don't know whats going on really." Mezzanie replied as another traveling priestess bumped into her. "There are rumors that our Mother Superior has been murdered! And now, Knights from the city are in our abbey, violating our sacred grounds. Is there anything you can do to get them to go away? Talk to them or something?"

Mezzanie hoped this woman could indeed do something. If not, then she would have to find another way.

She nodded to the woman as she stammered what little she knew of the proceedengs, and from what she could gather, the men would be the best ones to ask.

She turned and shouldered her way out from the throng of women to the first Warrior she came across.

Back on Antonica, these fellows in the suits of armour and perhaps a cape were exclusively Warrior class, or if serving a Deity, a Paladin.

?Hail, Good Knight.? She said, spreading her feet to stop him moving her on. ?Your assistance in securing the grounds has been appreciated, but I have been sent to take over for the Mother Superior until she returns, and this ring,? she held up the knuckle sporting the trinket Alina had given her, ?is my authority. Please leave these premises with our thanks, so that I can start getting matters organised.?

She smiled gently at the warrior to put him at ease.

OOC: Sorry for the absence.

El Asali

Asali watched in shock as the man tipped over, but then in horror, realizing what he truly was.

"Impossible..." he muttered.

He flung off his cloak, and prepared for the worst.

Winston

Winston looked up in horror as the new arrival flung off his cloak and dropped into a fighting stance. Always. This always happened. It just wasn't fair. Why did his fellow vitally challenged always give zombies such a bad name? He hated being stabbed. It was always so difficult to patch up the hole properly, and there was always a mark no matter what he did.

He put up his hands in a peaceful gesture, unfortunatley showing the stitches around his grey fingers to their best advantage.

"Now, gentlemen, let's not be hasty..."

As the stranger stumbled on the bridge, Ziphara spontaneously lifted her front legs high into the air, almost causing her body to become vertically aligned. T'aren nearly slipped from the decorative saddle, but gripped the reins tightly with slight pain from the rope burns as his long white hair dangled beneath him. "Whoa girl!" he cried, trying to soothe his horse. He knew something wasn't right with this man, but hadn't caught a good look at him due to the horse's quirk. "Easy!" Ziphara finally came back down to all fours, her head still whipping about in every direction.

T'aren's eyes widened as the true nature of the stranger had been revealed. He was a Zombie. The other human threw off his cloak and looked as if he was ready for combat. But T'aren, with his genial and relaxed nature, remained calm. "Easy, my friend," he told him.

The Zombie held up his hands, revealing a myriad of stitches. "Now, gentlemen, let's not be hasty..."

T'aren nodded. "I agree," he said to both men. Ziphara's activity reignited once more as the Zombie held up his hands, but T'aren managed to halt her again. "Why have you come to the City of Men?" His question was directed at the Zombie, and he anticipated an interesting answer.

Name: Sorin
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Class: Warrior

Biography:

Bad luck seems to follow Sorin around wherever he might go. His dear mother, queen of a distant kingdom, died in childbirth, leaving his father to care for the new child. Sorin learned warfare from the time he was strong enough to draw a small bow. His father ruled for many years, but at the end of Sorin's teen years, disaster struck. The Dark Realm began to expand, seizing many of the lands of Sorin's homeland in its growth. Finally, the fighting reached the capitol city, where Sorin's father lead the final defense against the darkness. His luck then dealt his father misfortune, for the King was slain in the battle, though not without killing a fair number of dark beings before he fell. Then, at the age of nineteen and the last of his bloodline, Sorin fled his homeland, knowing that there was nothing left to fight for; the darkness had overtaken all.

On his destination-less journey, the young warrior threw himself at every obstacle, hoping to die and join his father and mother in the afterlife, and end his miserable existance. To his own dismay though, death never came to him: only to his enemies.

For eight years Sorin roamed as a warrior without a cause, conquering every enemy in his path. Finally, an epiphany came to him, and he realized that his meaningless existance was bringing no sense of vengeance or redemption to him, his family, or his kingdom. With this newfound clarity, he set out for one of the large human cities, hoping to find answers and a meaningful life among his own kin.

Personal Info:

Sorin stands not quite six feet in height, and is leanly but muscularly built. He has dark blonde hair and deep, dark eyes. His garb is entirely black, extending to the scarf-like fabric that wraps around his head, concealing all but his eyes. As far as weapons go, Sorin is very skilled with the bow, spear, and his two curved, slender swords. He is also very adept at fighting with just his hands and feet.

LSA, when you write your introduction (if you would please do that for me), please place Sorin near Manrenthain. ;)

"Why have you come to the City of Men?"

Winston looked up at the warrior on the panicking horse and tried to look as harmless as possible. This is quite difficult when your water ward is erupting in blue flame in various places and your face looks a little bit like a jigsaw puzzle.

"Tourism?" he ventured.

El Asali

Asali laughed.

"Ye seem to be of a good nature, dead one. Pray tell, why do you retain your mind? Most unliving are mindless, are they not?"

Asali was a little confused, having encountered undead only a few times prior. Those he encountered were either brought back by dark shaman, or by the gods.

"Firstly," replied Winston, as icily as only a zombie can be, "I prefer the term 'vitally challenged'. Secondly, most zombies were not wizards or magicians in life, as I was. My Master wished to have an apprentice for far longer than I could manage as a human. Unfortunatley, there was an accident and now I am free to wander."

He shifted position slightly. The river was making him uncomfortable.

"Does that satisfy your curiosity?"

This was interesting. A Zombie, no longer living, who was a Wizard in the previous life. T'aren himself had always been interested in magick as a child, but he could never get nigh learning a spell. So he just stuck with what came natural, and that was being a Knight.

Ziphara began to retreat, attempting to fool T'aren. But he tugged the reins slightly, causing her to halt her backshuffle.

"A Wizard?" T'aren said with a hint of fascination in his voice. "That is interesting. What kind of magick did you practice?
