    Palpatine/Sidious - EP I, II, III, V, VI

    [image=http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/palpatine/img/eu_bg.jpg] [image=http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/palpatine/img/movie_bg.jpg] [image=http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/darthsidious/img/movie_bg.jpg]

    Before his rise to power, Palpatine was an unassuming yet ambitious Senator in the Galactic Republic. Palpatine saw the Republic crumbling about him, torn apart by partisan bickering and corruption. All too common were those unscrupulous Senators taking advantage of the system, growing fat and wealthy on a bureaucracy too slow to catch them.
    Palpatine/Sidious

    Behind a curtain of secrecy lurked Darth Sidious, a mysterious Sith Lord and puppet-master of the tumultuous events that brought an end to the Republic. The Sith order had been extinct for a millennium, yet somehow, two survived -- the Master Sidious, and his deadly apprentice, Darth Maul. In the waning years of the Republic, the Sith order returned, but Sidious was content to hide in the shadows.

    Grand Moff Tarkin - EP III, IV

    [image=http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/grandmofftarkin/img/eu_bg.jpg] [image=http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/grandmofftarkin/img/movie_bg.jpg]

    Grand Moff Tarkin was the Imperial governor of the Outland Regions, and the mastermind of the Death Star project. A brilliant and ruthless tactician, Tarkin was a loyal adherent to Emperor Palpatine's vision of the New Order. He saw the Death Star as the ultimate weapon to ensure absolute rule over the galaxy. The power of the battle station's prime weapon was enough to deter any rebellion, he reasoned. To demonstrate the Death Star's power, he destroyed the planet of Alderaan.

    Darth Vader - EP III, IV, V, VI

    Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith, was the scourge of the Jedi, a master of the dark side of the Force, and one of the Emperor's most trusted servants. He wasn't always a fearsome enforcer, however.

    General Grievous - EP III

    [image=http://www.gamertagpics.com/filesave/t/p_TWOTIMEZart.jpg] [image=http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/generalgrievous/img/bts_bg.jpg]

    From within the ranks of the Confederacy came General Grievous, a brilliant strategist unhindered by compassion or scruples. His lightning strikes and effective campaigns caused his reputation to grow in the eyes of a frightened Republic. To many, he eclipsed the threat posed by Count Dooku, the charismatic leader of the Confederacy's political battlefields -- Grievous was the face of the enemy.

    Darth Maul - EP I

    [image=http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/darthmaul/img/eu_bg.jpg] [image=http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/darthmaul/img/movie_bg.jpg]

    Darth Maul was a weapon forged by the hateful energies of the dark side to ensure the victory of the Sith over the Jedi order. A creature of pure evil, Maul had no personality beyond his ultimate devotion to his master, Darth Sidious. His goal was singular -- to exact vengeance upon the Jedi for the decimation of the Sith ranks.

    I love the character of Darth Vader, so he's definitely my favorite.

    2 - Darth Sidious
    3 - The General
    4 - Boba Fett
    5 - Count Dooku
    6 - Jabba the Hutt
    7 - Darth Maul

    9 - Nute Gunray
    10- Tarkin-He didn't really seem all that badass to me, probably because he didn't have a big enough role.

    There is a reason I choose Tarkin as my second over Vader.
    He gave the order to destroy the entire planet of Alderran. That is pretty villanous and hard to top. Talk about genocide....

    Didn't get too many responses from this site, but I've been running the same Rankings poll on another site and have added the running totals here since I've only got 3 responses from this site to the rankings so far.

    So far the ratings stand at...

    10- Nute Gunray (5-pts)

    9 - Jabba the Hutt (23-pts)

    8 - Jango Fett (32-pts)

    7 - Grand Moff Tarkin (42-pts)

    6 - General Grievous (44-pts)

    5 - Count Dooku (56-pts)

    4 - Bobba Fett (63-pts)

    3 - Darth Maul (68-pts)

    2 - Palpatine (110-pts)

    1 - Darth Vader (116-pts)

    ^^^ Kind of interesting to see results from a general inquery. Vader & Palps are neck & neck for top honors, while newcommer Maul seems to be edging out the veteran favorite Bobba Fett with Dooku not far behind. No suprise with Nute being in last.

    ... Need some more rankings, so go ahead and list 'em. The higher the postion the higher the points earned for your favorite SW villian.

    I'm intersted to see what the final outcome is and if I get enough responses I'll will seperate the totals between sites.

    Everybody says Vader, so I'm going to be cool and original. :p

    I'd have to go with maybe Darth Maul, even though he didn't have much character. But he was just so damn cool looking, and so athletic and ninja-ish.

    The most fun to watch fight, for sure.

    But Christopher Lee really does a good job with Dooku, too.

    ^^^ Well it's close between Vader, Palpatine & Maul...there are no Tusken's on the list ...lol. I don't know where that came from.

    So come on guys ... List 'em out 1-10 so I can rank them.

    I'm going with Palpatine. Vader's cool, but Palpatine's simply a GENIUS! One of the coolest, smartest villains ever. So here's my list.

    #1-Palpatine(the true antagonist of the whole saga and one brilliant villain)
    #2-Darth Vader(come on, he's simply awesome. "Apology accepted...")
    #3-Darth Maul(not a really highly developed character, but I loved him anyways. He just looks like evil incarnate and anybody who can whip two Jedis for even a little bit is definitely cool).
    #4-Jabba the Hut(He's a over-confident, literally sluggish, criminal master-mind who laughs like Santa Clause. Very memorable.)
    #5- Count Dooku(Christopher Lee's awesome and that curved lightsaber is pretty darn cool. Also, Dooku really does have you wondering, "Was he really planning on over-throwing Sidious, or not?")
    #6- Jango Fett(Boba Fett was the first we saw and was mysterious and cool, but this guy's more developed and, hey, at least he was killed by a Jedi-Master and not a half-blind smuggler).
    #7- Boba Fett(just cool and mysterious and the only guy who figured out what Han's disappearing trick was).
    #8- General Grievous(looks cool and creepy and I'm pretty sure he'll be moving up on my list once I actually see him in action on the big screen).
    #9- Grand Moff Tarkin(Enjoy his stately evil).
    #10- Nute Gunray(It's nice and good for the variety to have at least one villain who's simply an incomptent moron. "Shoot her, or something...".)

    Fine then.

    1-Maul
    2-Dooku
    3-Vader
    4-Jabba the Hut
    5- Palpatine (Yes, Jabba beats Palp. :p Just because he's fat and funny. Jabba, I mean. not Palpatine.)
    6- Jango Fett
    7- Grievous
    8- Boba
    9- Nute Gunray
    10- Tarkin. Sorry, I feel he just really sucks.
