Yeah the Raiders are going to destroy the Chiefs. I knew this was the year all their promise came together. Right when the Chiefs are going down because too many key pieces have gotten too old.

Oh and the Raiders took forever to draft a franchise QB who was good, but it worked. The Chiefs haven't drafted a QB in the first round since Todd Blackledge. You'd be forgiven for not knowing who that is, because he's a total washout drafted in 1983.

1983. That's 36 years ago. And that's pathetic.

I also would not anoint Derek Carr as a "franchise QB." Sure, the bar is hilariously low, and he's better than Marcus Tuiasosopo and Andrew Walter - but he ranked 30th of 33 in QBR last year (ahead of only Foles, Gabbert, and Bradford), and 27th of 30 in his first year (ahead of only Hoyer, McCown, Bortles).

He has two very good receivers in Cooper and Crabtree. Would like to see him put together a full season before deeming him the savior of the Raiders.

QBR is a garbage stat, though. You know who was ranked ahead of Carr in total QBR last year? Peyton Manning and Colin Kaepernick.

It's not ideal, but it's the closest thing to a comprehensive stat that we have.

Since there are any opposing defenses on the streets with him, he looks to be fine.

Of course, 2 years ago, I had a laugh when he lost a bet and had to wear THIS on his birthday (much to then-cohost Skip Bayless's amusement).

Every single time he badmouths the Cowboys, I have that photo of him wearing a Tony Romo jersey and a Dallas Cowboys hat as a comeback.
