And who won the game Derrick Thomas had 7 sacks in again?

How on earth is Las Vegas supposed to support a team?

I wouldn't mind a Green Bay/Pittsburg SB either way all that matters to me Is my mom is making chili for the big games and I love the either, epic, funny or movie trailer commercials and I love me some half time show, by the way who is doing the halftime show? I here it is Lady Gaga? Lady Gaga is a great entertainer even if I really don't care for her music, should be a great show!

    @Chromide

Gambling that is how they will support it. If I was a team in Vegas I would put a casino in the stadium let the fans legally bet on the sport at hand. kind of like horse racing which I really like to watch as well!

Leoluca is right. Sports betting is how they will support it. The Raiders have been flirting with that city for the last year and they just filed the paperwork to relocate. They will play at the UNLV football stadium until they can get a bigger facility.

It sounds like too much of a gamble to me.

I'll see myself out now. :p

What does that have to do with anything? The point was simply that Thomas was one of the greatest pass rushers of all time. In comparison to Bosworth, who was a notorious bust. You held up Elway owning him as if that's some kind of accomplishment. Everyone owned Bosworth.

Also, I don't recall DT playing on both offense and defense. Not to mention, I am absolutely the first person who will tell you that it's a complete Chiefs move to have a guy get 7 sacks and still lose. Just like we had a playoff game where neither team ever punted (naturally remembered by others as the game where the Colts never punted, because there's definitely no media bias towards Manning teams, right?), and we still lost because of a Priest Holmes fumble on the goal line, even though he was not a big fumbler.

I am the person always lamenting how the Chiefs seem to be the only otherwise good team in the NFL who just can't take advantage of a good thing to actually win with a lot on the line. I mean, were you around for the game where The Kicker Who Shall Not Be Named missed three fgs from 40ish yards or less in a game we then lost by three points.

We have had tons of misery inflicted on ourselves. Which is why I (and honestly, most Chiefs fans in KC who've lived through all this) don't believe the Chiefs can actually go all the way... Or even beat a real playoff team. Not until we see it actually happen. This is the Show Me state for a reason. People here are skeptical of good things until they see it actually happen.

The point, though, was obviously just that old Horseface was by no means immune to having his ass sacked by real players.

So, the debate between you two prompted me to look up the stat. Elway was sacked on 6.64% of the snaps he took - he's tied to a hundredth of a percent with another great scrambler, Fran Tarkenton. 75th best all time, but not really that great - there aren't many HOF QBs below him on the list.

Interestingly enough, the scramblers do not dominate this stat. It's the pocket, quick-release guys. Peyton and Dan Marino are tied for best at 3.13%. Brees has the best active percentage, at just under 4%.

Poor David Carr, who was sacked 267 times in only 79 career starts, is second to last in the qualifying group with 10.54%.

Anyway, the more you know. :p Go Packers.

I'm sorry, that stat is totally bogus because Peyton's at the top. You are clearly a homer. :p

Also, of note, Bill Simmons -- he of the advanced stats from his own Basketball book and recognizing that Brady is slowing down rapidly -- has started moving away from "Brady is the GOAT" since he'd need to play another 3 years at current levels to catch Peyton in AV, which I found amusing.

Protip: If you're going to layer up and might be peeling layers during the game, make sure all layers are team gear.

They have. At least twice. They also committed penalties (though the hands to the face one was ridiculous) which abrogated those stops.

I'm not a huge believer in momentum but the Cowboys really slowed the game down now in their favor. A couple big stops in a row.

    Come on Packers.

The only advantage to the Cowboys winning would be my knowing that I'll pull for the AFC team on Feb 5.

I'm sitting here with an Aaron Kampman jersey on rooting for the Packers to lose.... yes I'm doing it for luck purposes.
    Tie game!
