Not at all. It's just that they kept getting good field position and not even being able to get it 20-30 yards to fieldgoal range.

Anyway it turned out okay in the end but Smith has not had a very good week.

Not sure how I feel about that. He's not the player, physically, that he was in 2009. Although if he gets the defense to actually play then it doesn't matter. I kind of feel like he should just be cut along with Will Smith, as a step towards cutting ties with the whole bounty scandal. Smith is overrated as hell and doesn't produce enough for how much he gets paid.

Brilliant long, pounding drive deep into the red zone, punctuated by an interception in the end zone.

    Vintage Carolina Panthers football.

Butthead's left leg looks like it's been dipped in poo.

(At least the Panthers' next red zone visit resulted in a touchdown, finally.)

And both of my NFL teams lose to my two absolute least favorite teams. Just another Sunday as usual then.

    PG: Yep, basically.

Trimaj: My two teams are Washington and Carolina. The two teams who, if moral victories counted toward getting to the playoffs, they'd both be Super Bowl contenders.

That Ravens game was a joy to watch. Hopefully my Steelers don't crap their pants tonight and lose again.

The 'Who Dey, Who Dey?!' chants from the Cincy crowd were nice, but nothing (in my humble opinion) beats the 'J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS!' chant.

I don't know Juliet, I was once at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and Kermit the Frog started the "O-H! I-O!" chant from the float.

I took part, then a man in front of me turned around, scowled, and tapped the logo on his Michigan pullover.

NBC is reporting that Redskins TE Fred Davis is out for the rest of the year with a torn achilles tendon.:_|

Small silver lining: NBC is also reporting that Chris Cooley is re-signed with the team.

awful lot of season ending injuries this year. seems like it's more this early than the last couple years. but that's probably just perception.
