I'm so used to these things being revealed over the course of several days that I forgot the NFL has decided to hold an awards show to annouce them more or less all in one night. Since the show is currently being taped to air in over an hour, I'll put the rest of these behind spoiler tags incase there's anybody that doesn't want to know until the show airs.

    NFL/AP awards (open)
Bruce Arians is Coach of the Year. Chuck Pagano finished second.

Nor Andre Reed, so yet, another year of people going "Why isn't Andre Reed in the HOF"

At least Carter's finally in so we don't have to talk about why he isn't in anymore.

Carter doesn't belong in my opinion.

Bettis will likely get in next year. Looked like he was close this year. Glad Carter finally got in.

Last year the NFL started handing out it's end of the year honors at an awards show styled after things like the Oscars and the Emmys. Tonight's show airs at 9, so I figured I'd put mot everything behind spoiler tags just in case people prefer to wait and watch the show to find out who's awarded what instead.

    And Peterson gets the MVP

He'll likely get in next year when the SuperBowl is at the New Medowlands/Metlife Stadium.

Is it because he only catches touchdowns?

I don't know why I typed Carter, I meant Andre Reed.

Is it because he doesn't have a ring or because his stats are not up to par with the inflated ones today's WRs are putting up?

Never won the big game and only hit 1000 yards once. If he gets in I think it will be like Art Monk like on the 7th or 8th try. I know it's a different time but Tony Gonzales almost has more receptions that him.

On the other hand, he and the Bills got to the Big Game four times. They may not have achieved the ultimate goal, but being able to go to the Super Bowl that many times in a row should be nothing to sneeze at and he was a part of that.

Edit: Watching the NFL Awards, most awkard moment of the night: Aaron Rodgers and Brett Farve presenting Comeback Player of the Year.

That's funny about rookie of the year, because Alfred Morris was the best rookie on the Redskins. Luck did a lot more with a lot less.

Alfred Morris was second in the entire league with just over 1600 rushing yards. Not a hater, just a realist.

Morris looked very average without the RGIII pistol package. Morris got all those yards because the defense was guarding against RGIII beating them. True story.

Geez Louise, read the comments sections after any article regarding Culliver taking "sensitivity training" for his anti-gay comments. Talk about people releasing their hatred.
