$42 million dollar settlement between the NFL and retired players.
ah ha! it's just a drop in the bucket of what they should probably do... but that's pretty cool.
Jake Long to St. Louis.
According to Greg Jennings, Brett Favre helped with the Vikings deal.
Whooo booooy. I'm guessing that retirement ceremony for Farve at Lambeau is still going to be even more years away now.
like maybe in 2113 if Pro Football's still around that long.
favre really must have been pissed off at thompson. like, really pissed off.
Hasselbeck will sign with the Colts tomorrow.
And, IMHO, this is a great signing by the Colts. The guy is coming to Indy with a complete understanding of his role on the team, with a wealth of knowledge to help further Luck's development and a personality that will be absolutely great in the locker room.
With his years of being under Holmgren's tutelage, playing in the West Coast offense, I think he'll be a huge asset in training camp in helping the offense transition to Pep Hamilton's system. And if Luck should go down, I would sooner trust Hass in stepping into the game with this system than Harnish.
The latest Colts rumor floating about is that the big name wide receiver that they may be going after is one of the Eagles receivers. Either Maclin, or Jackson. I guess we'll see.
Maclin is glass joe. Stay away.
My fave time of year. Leaked images of the new NFL unis begin to roll on.
dolphins new logo, slightly different than the one leaked earlier this year., note the lighter shade of aqua
I liked the Dolphins uniforms. Why mess with a classic?
I wasn't that classic. It changed in 85, 93 and again in 99.
Eh, they were minor changes, but it stayed roughly the same. The dolphin just doesn't look right without the helmet with the "M" on it. The new logo makes it feel like an arena league team to me.
I blame the city of Miami. While I don't like this, it's not quite as bad as the marlins new logo.
Is the Marlins new logo an empty seat?
Goodbye tuck rule. LOL @ Patriots abstaining from the vote.
This running back rule is not good.
Running back rule dumb. Tuck rule good.
Jennings gone good for the pack. He is old and they have receivers. Cobb,Nelson, and Jones.
I don't have an issue witht the proposed ball carrier rule. It only applies when leading with the crown of the helmet. I don't see it as much different than the spearing rule.
Can't wait to see the 4+ hour games because of the gazillion penalties they'll call will with rule.
Anyone see this article? I think it's interesting to see it calculated just how much the incredible growth in QB salaries and the changing defensive schemes are marginalising other positions in terms of salary.
Ed Reed is a Texan.
