JOKES PEOPLE. JOKES.
The pre-season prognostication magazines are out. The Lindy's annual is always my favorite. Sucks about the regional covers though--It's nothing but Kaepernick, Kaepernick, Kaepernick(whom I predict will crash emphatically back to Earth this season). I bought it already but I won't be opening it for another week or so, until I'm out of my post-NBA Finals-avoid-all-sports-media depression phase.
And the Vikings picked up Bishop. Their hunger to take on the Packers' castoffs is just embarrassing at this point.
Brandon Collins out four games for violating NFL drug policy.
Warren Sapp doubles down on Michael Strahan digs.
I'm sorry, who's making millions of dollars sitting next to Kelly Ripa again? 'cause it sure ain't Sapp.
Sapp is an idiot. I will never understand how this guy has a job on TV
Aaron Hernandez has been taken into custody, arrested at his home
that is so hugely shocking i can't even begin to express it.
guess those reports of a warrant were indeed true.
It's interesting that he didn't turn himself in, either because he didn't want to or because he was not given that choice is unclear. Either way, that they took him out of his house in cuffs is interesting.
I wonder if the charge will be that obstruction charge, or if this is going to turn out to be the big one.
given everything he did to hide things? seriously sounds like he's guilty, or it happened in his house. dunno why he'd do all that stuff otherwise.
and if he did do it, why would he want to turn himself in if he thinks he managed to cover his tracks well enough? people that do that kind of thing tend to be fairly belligerent towards the police because they don't want to go to jail. and on that, can't really say i blame them.
I just meant if they were ready to charge him today with a murder charge of some sort , or if this was the obstruction warrent they have been talking about the past few days. It isn't clear yet.
The specific charge will not be disclosed until after he has been to court
Has anybody done the 'Goes to jail a tight end - comes out a wide receiver' joke yet?
He just got released by the Pats.
Yeah I'm thinking the murder charges are coming.
i'm with eethy on that one. big time. can't think of any other reason the pats would release him if they didn't know something.
Does this mean that we're going to have Tim Tebow starting at TE for NE next season?
Yeah, maybe! Still, unfortunate about Hernandez. Be interesting to see if the Pats can recover.
I kinda hope Tebow gets a shot at TE. I think it could be a long shot but one worth taking.
i certainly hope the loss of welker and hernandez screws the patriots over thoroughly. but it probably won't, because nothing ever really does.
Now that a Tight End position for the Pats has been, uh, vacated…how long until Tebow is named the new TE?
Murder one, five firearms charges, a not guilty plea and no bail.
Yeah, like I said to somebody earlier, even with Welker and Hernandez gone, and Gronk questionable with all the surgieres, as long as they have Brady and Belicheat, they're likely not completely screwed.
But they've got no shot at the Super Bowl next year either.
And also a Browns rookie has been charged with attempted murder.
