was thinking of pairings that lasted several seasons. that was, as you said, pretty much a one off. you don't really get that same level of chemistry as you'd have the following seasons.

i mean... i guess you could argue james/manning before edge's knee got messed up.

but neither of those are exactly HoF calibre backs now are they?
