nothing to see here
(Doing best Luke Skywalker impression) I care.
This is getting ridiculous. I wasn't all that crazy about Chudzinski to begin with, and a case could be made that it's better to correct an obvious mistake early rather than to ride it out hoping it will get better, but are the Browns ever going to get this right? I pine for the good old days when we lost playoff games in the most heartbreaking ways possible.
Anyway, on to teams that have gotten it right. My preseason Superbowl pick was Cincinnati vs. San Francisco. Probably wouldn't be my pick now, but I'll stick with it. I typically get one of the two Superbowl picks right with my pre-season prediction. But I'll be rooting for Manning and the Broncos.
ESPN Insider's Rumor Mill is reporting that Cleveland's top target is Josh McDaniels.
No city deserves this, even one in Ohio.
Edit- Frazier done in Minnesota.
My picks (I think this is my first time doing one of these):
Bengals over Chargers
Chiefs over Colts
Saints over Eagles
Packers over 49ers
Broncos over Chiefs
Bengals over Patriots
Seahawks over Saints
Panthers over Packers
Broncos over Bengals
Seahawks over Panthers
Seahawks over Broncos
I wonder how Browns fans would feel about Tim Tebow as their QB next year?;-)
In other news, we need to fire our owner in DC. *sighs*
Shanahan out in Washington. Three coaches out and its still morning!
Well, our coach in DC is already out:
Washington: Where previously great coaching careers go to die.
Ugh. There's no disappointment like a bad coach in your division getting fired. I'll miss you, FrazierBot 3000.
Four, if you count the Texans coaching vacancy.
I wonder if Washington really will go after Art Briles. That'd be awfully risky.
Reading that Oakland may end up keeping Dennis Allen. This fan will be disappointed:
Chiefs going from 2-14 last year to 11-5 this year in the regular season has made me one happy fan. Let's hope there's a little more magic left.
Edit: NFL admits error
So basically Josh Gordon and Joe Thomas will get traded for peanuts in the offseason.
Must have learned how to spell from Vince McMahon.
Greg Schiano and GM Mark Dominik are both out in Tampa.
Schiano looked like an amateur.
And feel-good story AJ McCarron will be drafted in the first round.
Edit- Schiano won't be unemployed long, assuming Bill O'Brien takes the Texans gig. PSU is his next stop.
Had to happen, especially after the Josh Freeman Fiasco.
Edit: Schwartz gone in Detroit.
That should be everyone, assuming reports are correct on Allen and he and Reggie Mckenzie get one more year. I think Tennessee is going to stick with Munchak for one more year.
I think Mike Sherman and Jeff Ireland are likely to be canned in Miami, and Monte Kiffin will be allowed to resign gracefully in Dallas- I doubt Jerrah will fire him.
Also, this video of Woody Johnson announcing to the locker room that Rex was coming back is awesome. Brunell was on ESPN talking about how much he loved playing for him, I doubt there is a better example of a player's coach out there today.
Washington should hire Lane Kiffin.
so the niners actually finish with a better record than last year, but have a much tougher road to the super bowl. oh well, just glad we're in the dance.
