This is totally something that would happen to the Jets, too.

 

As Trent Green pointed out, that was a horrible call because only the head coach can call a timeout so that shouldn't have been called a timeout anyway. I mean, I don't like the Jets and do like the Packers but that was ridiculous.

 

Yeah, big time blown call, but with the way the game was going the Jets had plenty of opportunity to put Green Bay away before that. Still a heartbreaker though.

 

So I'm guessing they scored a TD but it was called back for a timeout called by the OC? Hahahahaha, ridiculous.

Which is funny since only the HC can call a timeout so it shouldn't have been allowed.

 

Yes that just adds to the ridiculousness.

Yeah I mean there are games decided incorrectly by bad calls at least a couple times a season. But it really really sucks when your team is on the wrong end of it. Last year it happened to the Chiefs at San Diego in a game we won but was stolen on a a last minute horrible call resulting in a SD TD when it should have been a dead ball and end of the game. That one didn't matter much since we literally only played our backups since we were already in the playoffs. But when the games may actually matter, that's just awful.

 

As a Cardinals fan I really only know about games stolen by team incompetence.

 

I've gotten used to moments like this being a Jets fan. Could have been a big win that defined the season, but will probably be a big loss that defines not only a bad season but bad moments(on the field of course) for the NFL. Guess it wouldn't be a lowlight reel without at least one appearance from the Jets.

 

So will this call be this year's Hail Mary Call?

And how nice of the officials not to notice the play clock had run out on Kaepernick; likely wouldn't have made a difference, but still.

 

I actually don't agree, at least not for the most part. I'm sure Peyton gets some benefit of the doubt, but I thought we got quite a few calls go our way. They certainly helped keep that 17-play drive alive.

We were SO close at the end. I certainly didn't expect the trip to Denver to be that exciting. I hope Seattle blows them out again next week.

Now they call a delay of game on the 49ers.

 

Refs are going to need Tommy John surgery after this game.
