If the Bucs take Winston, I'm done with them.

I think he makes much more sense for them than Mariota.

I think new owners for the Bucs would be better in the long run. Of course, it could be worse: the Bucs could have Daniel Snyder or the Oakland owner. *shudders*

The Bears are benching Jay Cutler for........Jimmy Clausen!

What a bunch of incompetents. Will Clausen magically make the offensive line better? Will he stop the Bears D from giving up 30+ points a game/

    What's wrong with Mariota?

I think the guy is pretty good. A better passer than Kapernick, with just as good running skills.

better than kaepernick isn't precisely saying all that much.

How many spread-option QBs in college are starting on NFL rosters right now? Just three, Cam Newton, Teddy Bridgewater (kinda, sorta at Louisville) and Johnny Football. And neither of them are exactly lighting it up.

    1) nobody trashed Mariota
    2) said Winston made more sense i.e. FSU and Tampa proximity
    3) comparing college to pro qbs is generally a terrible idea until said college QB faces NFL defenses

But that has nothing to do with his abilities at QB sooo...doesn't really matter?

Where will Cutler be next year? Bears give him 6 mil to make his contract a bit easier for a buyer to digest.

Rams sounds like the best option. I think Houston is an option, too.

Fascinating. They bought old man Bledsoe and it worked out great.

Cleveland could also be an option. There's likely a U-Haul at the Hoyer residence right about now and I have serious doubts that Johnny Foosball is going to do anything to secure that starting gig for '15 in the next two weeks. The Brownies are only a couple of pieces away from being a playoff team (of course so are most teams in this day and age of parity); a WR, a G, maybe another pass rusher and unfortunately the most important piece of all. A Quarterback. Cutler's not the answer, but he's a bit of insurance.

Yeah I don't see anyone trading for Cutler and that contract. If he's cut, he'll get picked up somewhere, but I don't see the Browns having interest. It's more likely they draft another one whom they can develop with the team long term.

I have mixed feelings about this win. On the one hand: PLAYOFF SPOILER! on the other, barring a Cowgirls loss Sunday, it pretty much hands Dallas the NFC East. UGH!
