It's an awful precedent, in concept, as this was a bed of the NFLPA's own choosing. I haven't read the full decision, but conceptually a Federal judge overruled a collectively-bargained labor agreement.

You don't see how that could be problematic, especially outside of football?

I'll try and catch up later and see if Berman narrowly-ruled on something he feels the NFL didn't follow as a part of its power which wouldn't invalidate the CBA, but I don't think most analysis was thinking this ahead of time.

It's money, is what it is. Tom Brady simply brings too much money into the NFL. So long as he makes them gobs of cash, he can do no wrong.

 

They should of just tooken a third round pick from them.

I don't think there will be anymore players because most of the other publicized suspensions have typically involved video evidence and/or a police investigation. I mean, I don't think Aaron Hernandez or Ray Rice will be suing the NFL.

I'm glad tonight is the final preseason game for both the Niners and Raiders. I don't expect the starters to play more than a quarter, although, from what I've seen Kaepernick looks like he and the offensive line still need a lot of practice.

 

At this point, with how many 49ers are leaving the organization, will San Francisco have enough players to field a team?

honestly i have no idea what to expect from the niners this year. overall expectations are obviously low but i think that might be a good thing, especially for kaep.

 

It's not in my sports DNA to favor anything coming out of Boston, but this is wonderful.
