Another great game for Alex Smith and the Chiefs offense against a good defense. 5 in a row.

Yeah, the woes of bad and weird officiating continue. There were several crazy calls during the Cards-Niners game. Cards got lucky a few times.

The Chiefs benefited as well. Bills had a big first down taken away because evidently taking two steps after the catch isn't a football move...?

NFL, it's simple: Institute a "the ground can't cause an incomplete pass" rule. While you can't use the ground to help you catch it, if you already have the ball in hand with qualifying parts of your body down, the play should be dead right there, same as on a running play. I don't understand why this is so hard.

Impressive come from behind win from the Chiefs... And yet again those terrible Bears and Broncos losses at home games bite us. We can really only lose one more game max, and that's a tall order. Easy schedule but you just never know. If we had beaten the Broncos, btw, we'd be in first place in the division now (depending of course on their game tonight). So frustrating.

Cameras on the pylons are a bad idea because pylons can be knocked over and unless you have a wide lens you might not be able to see all the way down the line. Instead, you need cameras on the goal line but just out of bounds.

Of course, sometimes your view will be blocked by other players, which is why the sensor idea that ShaneP mentioned is a perfect one.

I mean, once again, this is an area where the NFL fails at officiating. The World Cup and Premier League already employ goal line technology to tell if a ball crosses into the goal. The NFL has absolutely no excuse for not doing something about these often controversial calls.

    I'll quote Josh Weinfuss:

There was a delay of close to ten minutes.

Would really have been bad if San Francisco had given up a touchdown with thirteen men on the field.

I just turned this game on 20 minutes ago and I've already seen Brady whining to the refs twice. Perhaps I should call him Tom CryBrady?

So, I can't root for the Pats, ever. Can't stand Belli-Brady personally. I never root for Peyton Manning, because that guy is a lame poohead. Brock Osweiler on the other hand...that's a guy I can cheer for.d.Thomas although seems to hate Osweiler.

The injury rate that New England is enduring is insane this year.

San Diego had 12 guys injured in one game. I think that has to take the cake.

Man, but Brady really has no one left to throw it to.

Though the Pats got screwed by the refs, I'll let it pass since they've been the beneficiaries of the refs for a decade plus.

And yeah, there are plenty of teams that have been screwed by injuries this year. Just look at the entire NFC East.
