What most people don't know about Chip is that he was the best gambler in the galaxy. And I'm not talking about a double-crossing, no-good swindler; he's all skill and can
win any table game. After some time, the New Republic caught on to this and decided to limit his visits. That didn't stop him. He kept playing until he was banned from every casino across the galaxy. It wasn't the same without him around. The reason others played Canto Bight was to get a chance to see the legend himself. Playing with him was something special, and those who got the opportunity cherished losing to him. The only other CB regular that came close to reaching Tablemaster status was a guy called Larry, who was a remarkable dancer but an "I play loser" kind of guy at the tables. Both the New Republic and Chip knew it was best for him to return to the tables, so he made them an offer to let him come back to CB as a dealer. Any game. Any table. Any time. They accepted without question. Tablemaster was back.

 

Too late, I already named it / him / her. I can't reveal the name yet, though, because I don't want the name to give anything away.

 

Maybe Chip is an inside man at the casino, planted, like Lando at Jabba's palace. His eyes are a bit like a lobster's, but with the longer stalks of a crab. Rian is wearing a lobster sweater in the video. I just learned that lobsters' eyes have been used to develop new x-ray technologies. Perhaps this is why he is working at a casino..... to keep an eye out for dishonest playing.

When he feels the jig is up, Chip ducks under the table and slips into the shell of an empty BB-unit and rolls out of the casino, like how a hamster would roll out of a casino in a plastic ball. How does he maneuver? With x-ray vision.
I would love for the Canto Bight chase scene to include Chip, and perhaps more of his people, in their tiny speeders zooming through the streets.

 

We sorta saw one in some set photos that looks like a Gran with more eye stalks

 

What's that thing with the mask face? It's face appears to make expressions despite looking like a mask!

I think we have a new candidate for who Rey's father is.

 

When Yoda says his famous "Size matters not", he's actually talking about Chip. His original dialogue referencing Luke's future meeting with him: "Size matters not. Meet
a powerful man you will. Of a size lesser. Judge him by his size will you? Hmm? And well you should not. For his ally is the Table, and a powerful ally it is." Lucas and the writers felt that the audience wasn't quite ready for Chip's story, so it was changed to Yoda's teachings of the Force and the lifting of the X-Wing.

 

Looking forward to the Frank vs Larry battle of wits at the Space Roulette wheel. Who has the stronger will? Who has the greater Gambling Force Powers?

 

Oh man the Chip thread is gonna become like the Raddus thread when RO came out. But obviously not as cool cause Raddus beats everything

 

When Raddus walks into the casino floor, the croupiers all tremble.
He sits down at a poker table and drops down a big stack of chips. "Deal me in"
Larry eyes him and gives a toothy grin.
The game of the century is on.

Lol, now I want this scene to happen in TLJ, it will be hilarious and one of the highlights of the movie!

 

Chip will probably be featured as much Salacious Crumb in ROTJ.
I hope they will release a toy of some sorts, or a complete play set containing Chip, Larry and a Space Roulette wheel
