Due to large demand, it seems that Nom Anor is a favourite to be the bad guy of the post NJO Trilogy. Now i've made some pretty bad threads in the past and if this is another of Silvertouch's patented doomed threads, just leave it to sink to page N.

Otherwise, who else wants to see Nom Anor around?

I don't know about this Nom Anor being the villain of the post-NJO trilogy business, but he'll return eventually.

    Long live Nom Anor!

    Non-existent FADNA forever!

No onscreen death though... you know what happens whenever a bad guy dies offscreen. :p

Oh, he'll always be around. Han had his head stuffed and it hangs over his mantle.

You heard the 'conspiracy theory' that Anakin's katra is actually trapped inside Nom Anor's mind? ;)

There was no body! He lives!

If anyone in the SW universe has shown that he knows how to survive and or fake his own death it's Nom Anor. Do you really think that after all the times he cheated death he'd so willingly stay behind, it goes against everything we now about the guy

    Nom Anor will be back

I seriously doupt that they'd kill a major character like Nom Anor off screen unless to make us think that he was dead when he really wasn't.

I find it too hard to believe that nom anor would resign himself so easily to death like that when every other book in the series showed he would go to any measure to ensure his survival.

Well, you never know, its a 50-50 thing.

Offscreen deaths always leave room for a return, and heaven knows thats what Nom Anor does best.

But with Anakin we were sure he was dead, i mean, they Barbequed his arse on a funeral pyre.....

I really think it would be cool to see him as a post-NJO badguy/neutral character.

Much as I liked Nom Anor as a character, I'd much rather he stay dead. That little speech he gave before he forced the humans off the ship was excellent, and it (as well as the NJO as a whole, I think) would be cheapened if he survived.

Then again, being tricky was his forte.

In SOTE, Xizor died about the same way as Nom Anor did. But they haven't brought Xizor back.

In SOTE, Xizor died about the same way as Nom Anor did. But they haven't brought Xizor back.

Well they show Xizor aboard his Skyhook and when his officer tells him there's no hope he doesn't respond and it cuts away to the skyhook blowing up

Nom Anor had time to get away and he's also the master of cheating death, he's done it many times so it's entirely possible

Plus there's no reason to bring Xizor back, nobody cares about him and he couldn't fit into a new story very well. Nom Anor on the other hand is a very versatile character

I agree. Even though he was a good character I think he'd definitely run his course. I mean, how many more times could he just barely elude our heroes' grasp ?

Eventually you have to ask yourself if theyre really that incompetent or is Nom Anor just that good ? ;)

I've been thinking about that very same thing before I reached your post. It would explain Nom Anor's behavior. Like Anakin is trying to fight Nom Anor, sometimes getting the upper hand, sometimes not.

    Nom Anakin
    Ananom Solo
    Nom Solo

PS: Of course Schizo Nom is still alive.

If the only way for Nom Anor to return would be to have Anakin trapped in his head (despite the fact that Nom Anor doesn't exist in the force and it's therefore impossible) then I'd quickly lay the old executor to rest

I say keep Nom Anor around. It's enough that they screwed us over by killing Anakin.

Damn gutless bastards. Jacen was better-suited for the heavy philosophy that followed SbS, but just...Damn gutless bastards. There were plenty of other people to kill, like, oh say Zekk? Nobody cares about Zekk! They could've gotten rid of him, especially seeing as how they were going to hook Jaina up with Captain Cardboard anyway. I would've liked to see Jacen and Anakin as a team for the rest of the series. Oh well.

Anakin may be dead and gone, but that doesn't stop me from being pissed off at the people who killed him.

    Damn gutless bastards.
