I don't know that anyone is posting love for China here, so I am not sure where you are getting "China is great, much better than Russia" from anyone's posts.

Now a days it seems if you have conversation with a Russian your put under a McCarthy inquisition for being a Russian collaborator.

Taking your question at face value:
Russia chose Trump's side in the 2016 US election and 'campaigned' for it using a massive propaganda network and the hacking and whatnot. Trump is said to be compromised by the KGB, is clearly under Putin's spell somehow, and his behaviour regarding the Russia investigation is alarmingly suspicious.

China is expanding and investing into areas where the US, for whatever reason, sees little value or interest in. Short of some standard sabre rattling over Taiwan, China hasn't done much in the way of threatening neighbours, militarily speaking, since 1996. Russia otoh is threatening NATO and the EU with bombers and nuclear subs, and literally invading her neighbours right now.

Also Russia and the US are fighting something of a proxy war in Syria, while China is said to be quite cooperative in Mali.

There's a lot more to it, but essentially China is seen as a more stable, predictable, and cooperative actor than Putin's Russia right now.

its a good question . For some reason American politicians seem very concerned not to upset China , there was that business about Taiwan not long back . If this were Russia they wouldn't be bothered about upsetting them .

Short answer: China isn't meddling in our elections and working to get their preferred candidate elected. Nobody is saying China isn't bad (look at their human rights record), but things with Russia are alarming right now.

Essentially because China has much, much better P.R. than Russia.

China is a spectacularly corrupt Leninist dictatorship, and probably one of the biggest geopolitical menaces that the free world is going to have to deal with in the 21st century. But it's difficult not to feel a sneaking sense of admiration for how they've gone from being one of the poorest and most backwards countries on the planet to the world's second biggest economy in just two generations. And their feats of engineering and technological progress have been genuinely remarkable. It also helps that they talk the talk about things like global warming and a globalized economy, even if much of what they say is glaringly hypocritical.

By contrast, nobody sees anything to envy about contemporary Russia. It's basically a giant nuclear-armed gas station run by gangsters and spies, under the leadership of a man who looks and acts like a Bond villain.

Truth be told, things would be a lot better if we didn't insist on viewing either of them as the devil. There are areas of common interest where smart diplomacy ought to be able to accomplish important things with both of them, as long as we keep in mind that they are not our friends and never will be, and we need to hold the line everywhere that their interests clash with ours and our allies.

But sensible geopolitical analysis and strategy often goes out the window when politics is involved.

There's literally nothing Leninist about China.

So, a blue collar ironworker named Randy Bryce is going to run for Paul Ryan's seat in the House of Representatives. His first ad is a heavy hitter. I know what you're all thinking now, we got a white working class democrat who can potentially rally people behind him. Might even give appleseed a pause in his doom and gloom for a second. Unfortunately, someone else is going to be running too, and will be facing Bryce in the Democratic primary: David Yankovich, who politically is some biology experiment formed by combining KW and dp4m and gets excited by Hillary Clinton.

Sweet Jesus. Can we get at least two parties to the left of the Republicans in this country? Not asking for a whole lot, not asking for the three or four which might be more representative of actual stances of those of us to the left of the Republicans. Just two so that we have a choice between "center right" and "far right".

I'm going to write this one down (or at least take a picture of it on my iPhone). Classic!

EDIT: Looks like Handel is pulling ahead. Ossoff probably won't win. The GOP will hold the South Carolina seat.

Center or left, all the idiot Dems know how to do is lose. They're not winning anything in 2018. They will lose seats in the Senate and probably a few in the House as well.

They are losers. That is what they are. All they will ever do is lose.

There is no future. There is no hope. It doesn't matter what sorts of candidates they run.

Really, if you are to the left at all, you have to realize America is not the country for you.

CNN just called the race for Handel.

Now the big question is: who is going to win the election to fill the director's seat(s) for the Han Solo film?

That's because I am right. This cesspool of a country is a lost cause. It's over, and it's been over. The people of this country deserve what they get. They vote for it.
