Rumorville has been circulating that Flynn Jr and perhaps Flynn Sr will be the next ones indicated anytime between now and Christmas. It seems like Mueller is just going to continue putting heat on them until they finally either agree to turn over state’s evidence or get indicated.

But to me all these guys are slam dunk indictments and really Trump could care less about. Yes Donald is feeling the heat as it’s been reported he is trying to convince himself that the fact his top players are now starting to be interviewed like Hope Hicks is a sign that the investigation is wrapping up even though in reality it’s the opposite that is happening but still, these are not part of Trump’s true inner circle IE Family. When Mueller and the Feds start throwing true heat down on some of his family, then will see Donald truly get unhinge and really start to erupt. It’s pretty evident now that Bob is focusing in on Jared and Fredo (Donald Jr.) as his two fishes from the Trump family. And obviously Donald is just setting up Jared to be the fall guy since there is no way he will let his son take the wrap over his son-in-law who isn’t even a true “Trump” as it’s been reported Donald as told those around him since he isn’t blood related. The question then becomes what does Jared do? Does he try to take the fall for everything and spare his father in law who clearly is the one throwing him underneath the bus or will he turn and try to save his family even though it obviously will ruin whatever is left of the Trump Empire? That is the essential question that needs to be answered between now and the next year.

As for Trump and Ball, it’s so expected I don’t even pay attention. Clearly Donald who is the most obsessed person with ratings and polls in history (I really cannot think of anyone who was more obsessed, can anyone else) sees that even his base has begun to fall apart as a recent polled showing only 71% of REPUBLICANS now approve of the job he is doing (that is absolutely horrific for any president as they should have that number be in the upper 80%s and hopefully lower 90%s with over 50% approval from independents and then grab somewhere between 20-30% of the other side) therefore he needs to fire his base up somehow so continuing on reacting like anything little thing is a disrespect of “the flag” or country is what he has come up with. The sad part is he might actually succeed as I can see a few Republicans rally around the “standard bearer” in another fight over preceived American patriotism. But in doing so, he also cuts off his nose as he will lose more independents as they are less concerned in wedge issues and being more focused on accomplishments.

I say again when this is all said and done, the FBI/CIA will run one heck of a psychological profile on this man. The government during the middle of WW 2 did a massive profile of Hitler and they nail it on the head including predicting that once the war turned against him for good, he would simply self distrust. I love to see a work up of Trump in the same matter right now and I predict the same thing will happen. Once the wheels really start falling off, Trump is just going to simply self distruct. We are seeing sign after sign of it happening as he seems to be more unhinge, angry and totally unfocus by the month and this again is before the real heat comes down and the Feds start throwing real weight at the Trump Family.

I wonder: Would marijuana legalization result in under-21s turning to heroin?

The Netherlands legalized heroin. I doubt that will happen here. They'll still be playing Requiems by Verdi and Mozart.

I wonder how bad that will hurt the economy and how mad it may make people nationwide. Because a total collapse of the American state may be the only thing that saves it. Maybe if they take away people's porn and Netflix, they'll finally take these rich scumbags to the gallows like they deserve.

appleseed: The corporate state won't be taking away porn and Netflix--they prefer us to be self-gratifying consumers. What they'd do is restrict access to sites that stress critical thinking and dissent.

I almost put this in the “College is Indoctrination for the Left” thread but decided to leave it here.

    The Republican War on College

Looks like more of the same “my ignorance is as good as your knowledge” along with a general hatred towards educated people which is pervasive among some Trump supporters.

Legalization of all drugs can be beneficial to a closed off/small country like the Netherlands and Portgual but even there it does have it's drawbacks. I also think making pot legal is something that not only will add billions to the nation's coffers thanks to tax money but also help with the growing heroin problem but even that is a slippery slope. The use of drugs particuarly of pot among teenagers is something I have personally watch skyrocket in the past ten years. And I don't care what anyone says, it is not a harmless at least to teenagers. I think I seen more students busted at school for drugs in the past 2 years then I witnessed in the previous 8. And again I teach at a well accomplished high school with the number of students going to top flight colleges being very impressive.

While I agree the hard right as gotten crazy with how they preceived colleges to be, the left has no leg to stand on either. Frankly nobody wants open dialogue at colleges today. Because that means one has to consider the other side and look internally at their own preceived notions and try to find common ground. Too much to ask for young people today since their own social world revolves around instant gratification via social media. And frankly I don't even blame them as it's something they were allowed to do and scarier, simply followed what they saw adults do.

Again, everyone, decriminalization (which Portugal did with all drugs and I suspect the Netherlands did with heroin though I can't find any sources) is not the same as legalization. At all.

Netflix can afford to pay telecoms' extortion (and already has) anyway. It just makes it even more difficult for a potential competitor to get a foothold because small companies can't pay the fees.

Matters of fact are pretty easy to establish on the internet.

Heroin is not legal in Holland:

Now there's a story in the NY Post showing Al Franken groping Arianna Huffington, Even if it was just a skit, it looks bad. He's gonna end up resigning, and if he doesn't, he's now practically useless.

And Charlie Rose. And Glenn Thrush.

Possible allegations coming later today against a longtime Democratic Congressman.

Thirty-two percent of respondents in this poll said the country was better off since Trump became president, and here's a sampling of what these people told our pollsters:

"Our economy is better and our stock market is way up. He speaks his mind." — A white Republican man from Ohio.

"I think that Barack Obama led from behind. His policies were far to the left. He stirred up racial division. I think that Donald Trump has tackled many issues. He's done away with over 800 regulations. He's tackled some of the hard issues. Immigration, tax reform. Barack Obama divided the country racially and economically." — Another white Republican man from Ohio.

"I believe the stock market is the highest it's been in decades, less illegal aliens coming across the border. The unemployment is low." — A white Republican woman from Florida.

"Because we have a leader that is on our side and not against America. That covers a lot. That's it. He is for the good of the people of America. He is putting America first. I haven't seen it yet. I don't know. I don't know. It all works together. I trust him and think he is doing a good job. He is putting America first and I can feel it. He is not like the last president we had." — A white Republican woman from Michigan.

"I do not care for immigrants. They should go back to their own country and get approved before they come in." — A white Republican man from Indiana.

'"I feel like there is more of an emphasis on a Christian world view by our president. It's being anti-abortion, or I guess you could say pro-life" — Another white Republican man from Indiana.

The phrase "leading from behind" is the most genius oxymoron the Republicans ever came up with. If you're leading, how are you behind? If you're behind, how can you be leading?

It's like they wanted to criticize Obama for allowing America to fall to second place in bombing somewhere, but the thought itself was so offensive for them to contemplate that they first had to invent this euphemism to soften the blow this sacrilege had on their own psyches.

They are correct about the economy and stock market, but I’m not sure Trump gets credit for that, nor do I think the economy and stock market are what makes America great. The character and integrity If the country has greatly disintegrated due to the very racist and ethnocentric policies that these people are praising. And speaking one’s mind is not great when one has the mind of a bigoted and misbehaving third grader.
