they'll rise if this QE tapering keeps up, they'll rise if they reverse course and go into QE hyperdrive, eventually. it is a matter of time.

But, again, QE is only being unwound insofar as the economy is continuing to recover. This scenario would thus avoid a default.

On the other hand, if "QE hyperdrive" was suddenly necessitated, that would bespeak some sort of economic shock that would probably be crippling to the US anyway. I really don't see where you are going with this.

Sarah Palin: I told you so
Great, another monumentally insignificant non-story to infuse the GOP with righteous indignation and fuel their victimization narrative. Just what we needed.

    Eh.

Top 2 are Paul and Cruz.
    Rubio is way down.
Christie and Walker did slightly, slightly better but still really low.

But we know how reliable polls showing a Paul as the winner are.

    Paul 31%
    Cruz 11%
    Carson 9%
    Christie 8%
    Walker 7%
    Santorum 7%
    Rubio 6%
    Ryan 3%
    Perry 3%
    Jindal 2%
    Rice 2%
    Huckabee 2%
    Palin 2%

The fact that Republicans let Sarah Palin speak at their signature event and give such a vapid, juvenile speech as she did is simply mind-boggling to me.

(Yes, I suppose I am naive for being surprised, but it's just embarrassing)

Hmm, yes, kind of worded that wrong. Perhaps soemthinglike business over humanity, or in spite of humanity, or business should replace government, or some such more accurate statement.

Until the Republican Party begins to collectively offer solutions to the problems a majority of Americans face, the Democratic party has nothing to be concerned about when it comes to winning the presidency. For now, it's just a matter of going through the motions for 2016. We already know a Democrat will win, but we don't know the electoral margin (though we can probably come reasonably close to estimating it).

The GOP is going nowhere. It's like the Democratic Party in the 1980s-- able to win state elections and unable to compete nationally.

How about a real senator from NY, Christen Gillibrand. She aint a carpet bagger and she is a good honest hearted person that cares about the people of including our military. Unlike the carpet bagger Clinton she would win the female vote and a good share of guys as well.

People insist on calling him a doctor (which he is, but the fan insistence is weird). Supporters weirdly insistent that he's going to win it all, and skewing the polls (though not as bad as Paul).

Yeah, it's not like he was a podiatrist. He led the first surgical team to successfully separate conjoined twins by their heads.
