This really is a time of troubles. If only we had heroes to lead the fight and kick Old Man Trump out of the White House....
Who could we turn to in this, our darkest hour?

Fox News has been in existence for over two decades. In all this time, it doesn't appear to have ever occurred to Democrats to lift a finger to defend themselves or otherwise push back against their narrative. It's like they don't want to win.

They tried somewhat with MSNBC in the early 2010s and it just didn't take. You have to remember, in America we have the government and the people who really run things- the corporations.

Ever watch "Owners of this country" by George Carlin? That's the truth.

MSNBC is utterly pathetic compared to Fox, and they always come off as being really whiny. Maybe it appeals somewhat to the more left-wing crowd, but what they really need to do is convince those middle-of-the-road, apathetic, fence-sitting independents why the Democrats are already giving them everything they want and deserve their votes.

Fox News knows the sort of language and rhetoric that appeals to the average American, and they're able to exploit this endlessly to drive home the narrative of Obama as being this left-wing, unpatriotic liberal. MSNBC and Democrats...they just don't get it.

Eh, Al Sharpton was in many ways a loud mouth in his early years, but by the time of his MSNBC show was strategically elevating racial issues in the country like the Trayvon Martin case. He preceded the Black Lives Movement by some years but amplified a string of incidents that helped catalyze it.

That was. . .basically the most effective one.

Well, the Democrats are total idiots when it comes to branding and promotion. Like their current motto, "A Better Deal"...give me a break. What they need to realize is most Americans are pretty thick and only respond to powerful stimuli. Stuff like this is why I really honestly feel they need to look to people like Jim Cornette and Mick Foley if they want to figure out how to deal with Trump.

They're just SO stupid and SO incompetent...they have got to be the worst political party in the world.

    Impressive. Most impressive.

FBI agents armed with a court order have seized control of a key server in the Kremlin’s global botnet of 500,000 hacked routers, The Daily Beast has learned. The move positions the bureau to build a comprehensive list of victims of the attack, and short-circuits Moscow’s ability to reinfect its targets.

The establishment Democrats are aggressively fighting for their message to be anything other than “We aren’t Trump.” The fact that they are fighting people who are actually on the left, responding to the idea that they need a more progressive message with something between ‘progressivism is un-American’ and ‘but we’re fine because we aren’t Trump’, is proof of that.

I just want the Democrats to just start being honest again and open about issues instead of feeding a bunch of non-sense that is meant to pacify instead of educate. Automation is the #1 issue facing every American and yet both sides are in denial over it.

ugh, I am interested in the interview, but just reading the tag on the vid ("MLK would be proud of Trump") literally just gave me a sick feeling in my stomach...

Oh well, it's not as though the mainstream doesn't already distort the **** out of MLK and his legacy.

The other day I saw a headline that some Republican on Fox News compared Trump's treatment by the "deep state" to how MLK was treated by the FBI. Yeah, look at what a poor victim the rich white billionaire in the highest office in the nation is, there are totally some similarities with a civil rights leader.

So about that cancelled summit. Aw, but what will Trump get his Nobel Peace Prize for now? :p No surprise, not with how many of the recent statements sounded. Agreeing to a meeting so fast was always a mistake, the question was which stupid thing would happen next- Trump get bamboozled in face to face negotiations or if he'd cancel the meeting and lose face. Not that America's word means much these days, but still. Trump sounded so unenthusiastic about the meeting this week anyway. "We'll see what happens" as if its like the weather and he has little control over it. I wonder how long until he blames Hillary and Obama for the collapsing talks.

I'm trying to imagine a successor sitcom to Veep on HBO. It would be based on the real life stories of the comically corrupt and amateurish operators circling Trump and jockeying for influence and access. HBO would reject it as too absurd.

I don't care what that bloated alcoholic thinks. The lead quote, "MLK would be proud of Trump," is all you need to know that this is a navel-gazing interview. In fact, if NASA were doing special executions for enemies of the state by launching them into the sun, I would petition for him to be the first one in line. Followed by half of our government.

My thoughts re: Democrats being less progressive is that fighting their left wing brethren will not help them in the long run. Being a corporate lackey Third Way type only turns you into Republican-lite. A majority of this country does want a more leftward direction, but if I had to guess, they see no difference between the parties in terms of policies. So why vote for someone who's just going to stab you in the back?

This November I'm going to vote D because I think Republicans need to pay for their crimes and I want to hopefully restore a piece of sanity. However, I'm not doing it because I want to, I'm doing it because it's the only real possibility of success and I don't want to assist in unleashing a more fascist US on the world. Germany and Italy were awful and they managed to spread their conflict across the world; I can't imagine the terrors that we would unleash with the military that we have.

Amazing how quickly the news cycle turns.

Last week, things were looking up for Trump. There were even hints that Mueller might be done soon, and Trump would escape unscathed.

That died today, along with the North Korean lovefest. I'm eagerly awaiting a new round of Tweets blaming Hillary/Obama/the Democrats/terrorists/MS-13/bad people/animals/hoax/fake news/China/blah blah blah.

You know it's coming. And you're waiting for it, too.

My issue is that I'd wish Mueller would hurry the hell up. When you play chess with a pigeon you know he's one move away from getting on the board and ******ing all over it.
