I don't know if anyone else was as disappointed by the Trumpbaby balloon as I was. In my head it was the size of a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade float or a World War One-era barrage balloon.

 

If it were that large they probably wouldn't have gotten permssion for it in the first place. London is in the Heathrow Airport flight zone and it could have caused a major problem had it gotten loose. Years ago Pink Floyd had an inflatable pig get loose at Battersea Power Station and it caused air traffic problems til it was found in a field.

 

Trump won't even see that unless he watches it on the news. From Windsor he goes by helicopter to Stanstead Airport to fly to Scotland.

So about 1/10th of those at his inauguration.

 

And that's why the Pink Floyd pig balloon is the stuff of legend, whereas Trumpbaby fizzled.

I see various politicians trying to get Trump to cancel his meeting with Putin. I want him to go through with it in the off chance our security agencies somehow record it.

According to the speaker at the rally in Trafalgar Square, there were more people at this protest than at his inauguration by five o clock.

Even if that wasn't true, I was one of the last people allowed onto the square before the police shut off access due to overcrowding, something I believe is unprecedented (Or should I say unpresidented) for a weekday protest in London.

 

Has he done a state of the union address? I honestly can't recall. I figure his staff won't bother to draft one since the idiot will invariably go off script within a minute and go full Trump for the next two hours.

 

Yes, he gave one and the corporate media tripped over themselves calling him "Presidential" because he stuck to a teleprompter that said awful things instead of saying awful things off the top of his head.
