I didn't really disagree that Republicans were homophobes. I said that a homophobe has an ever-shrinking chance of becoming President, although I guess that politicians could resort to "coded" language like they mostly have with regards to race.

 

I am not watchign all of CPAC. I tuen in for a few, watch something else, come back, etc. And in the scattered bits I am catching it's like the whole thing is on rewind but with different speakers. Every single person from Paul to Cruz(who is on now) says the same things: Religious liberty is under assault! Spending is out of control! The Founding Fathers were all religious!

Chris Christie is probably the most sensible of the bunch(not that I would vote for him), yet he is below not only Rand, not only Rubio, but one of the Kings Of Derpism the amazing Rick Santorum.

 

My little cousin was reading the Federalist Papers recently, and i felt a little sad when i thought that that sort of thing will never happen again.

Apparently they had to redo the torch in gold leaf a few years back because some fool caused too much damage putting windows in the thing, but that's about all I heard. I don't think they intended to change the colour?
