No need to be rude. I'm not Irish, so I don't observe the holiday in any way.

I'm just kidding. Jeez, do we have to put this " :p " stupid thing at the end of every joke? I had to look it up on my calendar.

Apparently Guinness is trying to get everyone to vote to make St. Paddy's Day a National Holiday. You can check it out here.

I'm surrounded by almost all Irish/Italians, so both Columbus day and St. Patties day are big holidays. And I really have no reason to like Valentine's Day :(

Saint Patrick's Day is traditionally and Irish holiday, because it is focusing on an Irish legend. However, all holidays now have been misconstrude from their original intent. We all know of the commercialization of Christams and Valentines Day. But there is also All Hallows Eve which was once celebrated as the Celtic New Year. Though I hate the changing of holiday's St. Patty's day is a day for all to be irish. Thats why New York and Boston often go all out for the day. So on March 17th wear your green with pride and if you beleive in drinking tip a glss in honourof the Green Isle.

Careful Bub...some of us who are of Irish Decent take our rpide in our heritage very seriously. The Irish, though sometimes violent and often intoxicated are a great people. Most people don't fit the stereo type. the majority of the Irish are regular folk of a strong and beautiful culture in a land that is equally beautiful...we have aproud history and a great sense of who we are.

I could ask the same about being German but I realize that the germans too have a unique culture, one I respect very much...accept for that black period in the thrities and fourties...however that has been dealt with.
