    Game 4 is going into OT. Jovanovski now has a goal in all 4 games. He has a hell of a shot, for a defenseman. :)

    Start praying, guys. If we win this one, we have the Wild on the ropes.

    EDIT:

    GOAL!!!

    It's Sopel!

    How about Jovanovski, eh? He's scored in 5 of the last 6 games. The ironic thing is, he's a defenceman.

    It is a sad day. :(

    At least Philly got owned.

    There are no Wild wins in this series! Never! Our initial assessment is that they will lose. The Minnesota infidels are breaking their sticks. ;)

    Wow, what drama! [face_shocked] Tonight?s game is going to be absolutely huge! [face_shocked] And tonight, we?ll see if the Canucks have the mettle to move on. I have to admit that the last two games have been disheartening to watch. But, as the Canucks have shown at moments in this series, they?re very capable of dominating the Wild, they just have to play disciplined hockey (penalties killed them in the last game), stick to their game plan and hussle for the full 60 minutes. ;) Can the Canucks do these three things? :confused: Well, we?ll see tonight. ;) Go Canucks go! :D

    Can the Canucks do these three things?

    Well, apparently, the answer is...

    [image=http://people.bu.edu/paladin1/No.jpg]

    Wild win 4-2.

    And that makes me SO kriffing :mad: it ain't kriffing funny!

    And not only that, now I gotta say bye-bye to my hair.

    Yay! Yet another victory for boring neutral-zone trap hockey! Woo hoo! 8-}

    At this time, I want to thank in a special way the Wild?s head coach, Jacques Lemaire. Not only has he brought hope to bald men everywhere through his unwavering use of the "comb-over," he has proven yet again that a team of midgets and no-talent grinders using his boring brand of neutral-zone trap hockey can beat any team of sizable, highly-skilled players. Congratulations, Jacques! You?re my new hero! 8-}

    I?m sorry, but I can?t resist?..

    How about the Minnesota Wild? :confused: Down 3-0 in the series against the Mighty Ducks, and they have yet get one goal past J.S. Giguere. [face_shocked] ?Shocking, positively shocking.? 8-}
    N-E-ways, back on topic?.I was wondering how you guys think the Canucks earlier-than-hoped exit from the playoffs will affect their team make-up? :confused: Do you think there will be a significant shake-up in the off-season? Will Brian Burke be forced to make some noteworthy trades to shore up some of the Canucks? weaknesses? :confused:

    The Wild got beat by a City that has NO business having a hockey team. The only Ice in California is in Jewlery Stores. Come on Canuck fans dont be pissy at The Wild its not thier fault you choked your asses off. I dont give a damn if the Wild lost to the Ducks oh well theres next year life goes on. The only thing that beat the Wild was Jiggy the Ducks Suck.

    Wow, how come I never saw this thread earlier?

    Anyway, if you've not been keeping up with the Canuckleheads this year, now's a perfect time to start. The all-star break is upon us and the local lads are tied (with Philadelphia and Detroit) for the 2nd most points in the league with 72, one point behind Colorado. With 26 games remaining in the regular season the playoff positions will be hotly contested over the next 2 and a half months.

    The Canucks will be represented at this year's all-star game by Markus Naslund (league leader in points and 2nd in goals), Todd Bertuzzi (voted to the starting lineup), and coach Marc Crawford (who will act as an assistant to Detroit's Dave Lewis). Naslund has also been named captain of the Western all-star team.

    Prior to the break, the team defeated the defending Cup champions, New Jersey Devils, 4 - 0 on the road. In that game Trevor Linden tied Stan Smyl as the all-time top scorer for the franchise at 673 career points in a Canuck uniform. Overall, Cloutier has been playing pretty consistently in goal and the Sedin twins have been scoring on a regular basis since Christmas making a fairly dangerous second line. Let's hope they can keep it up through the playoffs.

    Next game: Wed. Feb 11 vs Calgary
