Cooke could be a 2nd liner tho IMO. Its just the Sedins are kinda solidifed as the 2nd line of the team and Cooke doesnt really fit with them.

Edit: Nucks up 3-1 with 5 minutes left in the first.

Don't get me wrong I think Cooke's cool, but is he the fourth best forward on the team? Cuz that's what he's being paid, behind Naslund, Bertuzzi, Morrison, and Linden.

Update: Canucks lose in the shootout to the dirty-rotten-stinking-good-for-nothing Oilers.

Yeah he may have be gettting alittle more than others on the team but both Cooke and his agent have mentioned this is really to make up for his short-changed contract from before.

Yeah we lost, but that was without our top dogs besides Jovo-cop and our prospects gave a hell of a game.

I can't count very well, because Cooke is the fifth highest paid forward not the fourth.

And maybe it is a little bit of payback, but he's still gotta earn that dough. I hope he does, but as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Let's see what he does when the games start to count.

If anyones been really earning his paycheck of the last few years, its Cooke. His game is to play hard every night, can't wait to see him under the new rules. :d

I like what Cooke brings to the table, he's a tenacious forechecker, and he's got some skill, but it's not that hard to find a guy like that. I look at a guy like McCarty who just signed with the Flames for $800k. He doesn't have as much skill, but he's a lot bigger, just as tenacious, and he's got a few cups from his years with the Wings. The Canucks must be the only team in the league where the third line players make more than the second line does.

Maybe, but like I said before, hes not a second liner because he doesn't have the skill or abilitly to.

Well Omar got the full deal tonight, but we lost again in a shootout. [face_frustrated]

Hope he got some shots of Park's breakaway goal, that must've been cool to see.

Hey Omar, despite the loss, from what I heard the game you went to was pretty decent. At least better than the next one against the Ducks.

The big line doesn't seem to be clicking as well as expected. I sure hope this isn't an indication of how they'll start the real season.

Does anyone have any .gifs of Canuck goals/saves/fights/etc? Cause their are some awesome ones out there but I lost all mine. [face_frustrated]

That Naslund goal during the 2nd Ducks game is one I'd loved to get to, man that was a sweet move.

Wow.. what a terrible game. They didn't even look like they were trying tonight, seemed like the entire team was down with the flu or something. Bertuzzi really, really needs to step it up now. He's playing WAY too safe - that is in no way his style. I want the old Bertuzzi back.
