    Well.

I don't think the cohesion issue is as big as EF believes. There's no particular reason for any of them except Sigma and the Megas to really despise each other, and the superpowerful charisma of Seph and Grahf should be enough to quell the team's rumblings. So this is how I see it going down:
The teams will face off. Dante, seeing Onaga the demon king, will go after him. Grahf and Sephiroth will concern themselves with the only person on the other team that can hang with them, KOS-MOS. She'll hold for a while, but goes down to the combined power of the megavillians (also aided by Shion's knowledge of her.) After that, the rest of the team is under severe threat, because Onaga will most likely be gone by then. They can't hold against the combined assault. Especially since they don't ahve the tech strengths to compete with Ratchet and the MM characters. THe magic of Link, Seph, and Arthas can hold off Strago and Vivi long enough for them to get speedblitzed.

This makes it sound like a crushing, I doubt it would be. But my first instinct was that there was a significant power gap and I still think there is. In the end the Pongers will stand over the crushed bodies of their foes.

I was tempted to concoct an EV style battle writeup on this but I just could not be bothered. :p

My vote that Axle has no idea what's going on, ever. :p

Boy those were some lame All-Star team judgements, too bad they got the cold shoulder in terms of a quality break down. [face_tired] Pfft.

    Cool then. Pong wins.

Anyone have more input on rules changes?

We're going to not prep Power List picks.

We're going to up team sizes to 12. Do we want to start 8 and bench 4, or start 10 and bench 2?

Mods of this forum, do you have input on the number of GMs for next time?

Still looking for one more judge ...

And, I'll post the updated draftable list here soon

I still prefer the start 10 and bench 2, and to have up to 3 Preps to use.

A question about Montblanc and Marche:

Since Tactics is pretty much the most customizable game for FF when it comes to job selection, how exactly will these two be judged? Is Montblanc just gonna be Black Mage/Time Mage? And Marche Soldier/Fighter? Because any job selection that is available to their species is available to them, and it's fairly easy to master all of the soldier and fighter skills early on. I'm just wondering if we're going to hold them to that, because after you learn your basic soldier abilities you can be either a paladin or a fighter. Would he get all three of those? In actual combat you can only have two job specific A-abilities(i.e. fighter, soldier), but you can still have crossover moves for you R, S, and C abilities. So, he may be a fighter, but it's extremely easy early on to switch over and learn two steal abilities then learn the ninja ability doubleblade so that he can weild two swords. Or something from the Paladin job that's more defensive. I can understand if they were just going to be locked into their default jobs at the beginning(Soldier/Fighter and Black Mage/Time mage), but those are their basic settings, and there are far more superior elite classes and mixes that you can do. I'm just curious if they'd be master of their race's entire set of jobs, or just those that they start out with.

Why is Dog from Half Life 2 still not in there.

Hes a decent character. He is a robot so will have good cohesion with any team. Hes bulletproof. Extremely strong. And has gravity guns.

Um Lucia from Devil May Cry 2 really should be on the PL. Ashe from FFXII should be on the regular list.

As for the rules. Garnet really loses her PLness without prep, as FatBurt said. I like the 10 characters in play and only 2 bench. And an extra prep but an extra PL lister too.

I suggested these two, and I basically thought you'd have Marche as a Paladin/Fighter and Montblanc as a Black Mage/Time Mage, and if you give them prep you can switch out their jobs and have them master abilities from another job, like MogKnight (but not necessarily the ultimate abilities).

EDIT: Still pushing JC Denton (Deus Ex). Can I get a comment?

Well there's a big difference between Paladin and Fighter, and Soldier has some nifty abilities, so I dunno how you would do Marche. Montblanc is easier, he's your mage, but Marche can be several different melee types.

Speaking of Tactics and the PL, what about Queen Remedi and Llednar? Well, I dunno about Llednar, he's invincible.

I'm not that familiar with the game. Anyone disagree or agree? I have no problem bumping Lucia up to the PL.

    Sure thing

Even as a fourth option Power List pick? An unprepped Garnet isn't enough to be the fourth best option on a team?

Seems fine. Sorry If I missed him earlier.

Must have missed your post. Sorry. I'll add him in next update.

Lucia? Meh. I suppose she's kinda close. Either way, I guess, but I kinda like to think Lady would kick her ass.

And yeah, Garnet should absolutely stay. Her ability to defend herself is absolutely being underestimated here. So was Eiko's, IMO, but that's neither here nor there.

I'd be taking Garnet in the 2nd round if she wasn't on the PL.

w00t! Go Pong! Winning the Pro Bowl! Show those Space Invader chumps we know exactly how to shoot down their last d00d.

Anyway, I demand Franziska and her whip be added to the list. :p

I mean, only foolish fools leading their foolishly foolish lives would foolishly leave her off this foolish list for this foolishly foolish draft of fools.

Well, honestly I think Lucia is pretty damn good. Hell, let's bump Lady up as well.
I was also repeating what FatBurt said, it sounded like to me he was giving most of his credit to prep. *shrugs* I have no problem with Garnet being unprepared.

I would think that this draft is FF heavy already as it is. Seriously I bet 1/3, maybe more, of the lst are FF-ers. Why don't we cut some of the crap before adding more....crap?

RPG characters are so hard to judge in an unbiased way to me. I don't see how you can take...
'ZOMG MY QUEEN AMASIL DID 6960 DMG WITH HER PHASE 10 ATTACK AND COMPLETELY KILLED YOUR LOGITECH LUNITIC MONSTER.'...
and transfer that to make any sense for when they face someone out of their own game. I don't see how that works or makes sense. Isn't that kind of a game mechanic type thing? I mean, can I have my main character tank from Guild Wars in, with my best build? Or my 55 invinci-monk?
    Where is the line drawn?

Clearly the only answer is to place Franziska on the list. Her fast action prosecution attack deals 9,999 damage and drains the opponents MP. Not to mention her ultimate whip has a high probability of combo and can do excess of one hundred hits, each at 9,999 damage.

Ok? I don't have any FF characters on the list so what's the difference?
