FF:WA The WAFF Awards

Well I'm bored and I came up with an idea. It'd be cool to have our WA Fan Force Awards for forum members. These would be the following categories:

Most Popular Member

Most Posts

Most Useless Topic Starter (might be me after you read this)

The Random Reply Award (include a quote from nominee that you thought was really random)

The Dark Side Award

Most Annoying Member

The Smart Ass Award

The Sleaziest Member Award

The Never Ending Conversation Award (up to two members can win this one)

Anyway just place someones name next to these categories to nominate them and email them to me, in a week I'll post up the results for all to see.

Yes, and it's amongst these primitive people, that they award these 'trophies' based upon each of the great deeds they have done and/or popularity amongs the tribe...

Who shall judge these preceedings??? Maybe a poll for each category to decide eh?

Things like most sleazy, annoying and smart ass can only lead to bad things IMO.

 

I agree with Aztec, there's more catergories than regular posters, this'll only end badly.

I'm staying out of this too. I've only just returned to the this forum and not only can I not help with the voting, I don't want to see any bad blood spilled like in the past. (I was one of those people who used to the stirring/sarcasm the wrong way)

 

Ok you have a point, well why don't I take out some of those unsightly categories and replace them with new ones. Here is a revised list:

Sounds a lot less "potentially harmful"

 

Also someone senior (who has been a WAFFER for quite a while) should handle the voting....if they have the time of course

 

I've seen polls like this work well on other forums when they focus more on posts than people. For example an award for the funniest post. That alone is worthy of a poll as people search back through the threads for real classics that we've forgotten. That sort of thing can encourage useful, funny & friendly posts without putting people down and risking flame wars.

 

Indeedy. Lets just hold hands for a while and forget about Schappelle Corby, Terrorists and Pirated DVD'S for just a few moments.
