I say we wait another 2 months till episode 6 is out, then we all get together and do a mammoth marathon playthrough of the whole season plus Hit The Road. Who's with me?

That would have been my suggestion. I'm in.

Can we play Hit the Road in the noir black & white setting though please? [face_dancing]

    Be seeing you,

There's a noir black and white setting?

I made the promise that I wasn't going to play Hit The Road again before this marathon, but last week I caved and raced through it again. It's still the funniest and most quotable game ever. Though frankly, Abe Lincon Must Die comes very very close. That game was hysterical. Easily the best episode thus far.

Yup. Press the "B" key as I recall, and the screen goes black & white, like the noir films of yesteryear.

Probably the only time I've said yesteryear. And I never will again.

I'll bring my fedora and my Gumshoe Lingo phrase book, little buddy :p

Oh yes, I remember now! One of those things you accidentally stumble upon. Yeah, I'm down with playing it that way. Though some places in that game just beg to be in colour, and the Mystic Vortex actually requires it, don't forget.

So Brandon is Sam... and Tim is Max....
Yeah actually, that so totally works. [face_thinking]

Not to mention official Star Wars canon.

A full season 1 marathon's definitely the way to go. Maybe in two months' time I'll finally have the mafia bear song out of my head. If so, this Sam and Max night will be the equivalent of slipping cocaine into a rehab centre's water suppy. I might as well accept it: I'll be humming it on my deathbed.

    M-A-F-I-A oh baby!
There are worse ways to expire.

Personally, I think I like the War Song from episode 4 more than the Ted E. Bear song, but it's a close call. The music in those games is brilliant.

Since this is just under a week away, time for a reminder and an official get the ball rolling post:

1980s CREATURE FEATURE DOUBLE *One show only*
The '80s cult favourites The Goonies (1985) (PG) and Gremlins (1984) (PG)
    Wednesday 21 March, 7.00pm (18+ event) / Tickets $13.00 per person

    GLOBE THEATRE
220 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley (next to train station)
    Licensed bar open until late
    Pre-sold ticket bookings / Enquiries (07) 3844 4751 / www.globetheatre.com.au

I love The Goonies, and I can't remember the last time I saw Gremlins, so I'm looking forward to this.

I'll be driving in and parking at the carpark on Alfred Street behind the cinema (at least according to the map). I don't mind being a designated driver for the night either.

Let me know by the usual methods (post here, PM, SMS, carrier pigeon, MD Signal (tm)) if you're interested.

    Be seeing you,

    Magnus Darcrider

Well, so long as I can get home, I'm all for it. I can come straight from work if I have to. :)

make sure you park in the valley metro carpark - I'm pretty sure it's $5 per entry after hours, but you need correct change to get out (it's like a vending machine thing to get out)

I'm presuming people are still headed to the Globe tomorrow night? I will probably be heading there after workish if I'm going. Don't fancy the drive through uncharted territory though, so might get to a train station and park and walk.

Yeah, I'll be headed there after work. Or perhaps rather a little after work. I'm prolly gonna grab a bite to eat before hand. 2 hours is a little early to be turning up :p

That it is Loz. I myself will be heading in after work also, and considering it's only a 10-15 min bus ride from work, I'll have time to kill even if I stay back late. [face_whistling]

Presumably we'll all meet up outside the theatre?
