Posting will commence on December 15th. In the meantime, readers are welcome to speculate on the story using the spoilers from the Dramatis Personae.

 

OOOoooo! Lemme guess! Bigger battles, villains that are nasty and ruthless even for the Negative Race, almost none of the galaxies natives left alive, a whiney brat, a proud warmaster, a new Chosen One, and LOTS of action, surprises, and BA Troopers?

Negative Race fans are in for a big treat. If you liked The New Invasion and The Beginning of the End, you're going to LOVE The Way of the Truth! This is definately Spike's best work to date, and the explosive conclustion to his Negative Race stories doesn't dissapoint.

For those who can't wait for The Way of the Truth, the first post of a short prelude to it, "Evacuation", will be up either today or tommorow. It will introduce a few of the characters in TWotT and give readers a glimpse of the state of the galaxy.

 

And I also recommend that readers should look over Evacuation, since it is a direct prelude to this story. (Call it the Ylesia to my Destiny's Way).

Bob? Tomorrow? Does that mean I can go home and eat now, or do I have to wait for the first draft still?

Yeah. Since they're from a galaxy even further further away and don't speak English, they have weird names.

But so did the Yuuzhan Vong, so don't let it get you down. Also I shorten their names to the first few letters to make it easier on you.

 

Well, "Evacuation" technically has an ensamble cast with most of the characters directly effecting the future events in The Way of the Truth through their actions.

And Spike made up most of the names himself. I came up with the names (and characters) of Szul'cul'ama and Joaquin (the last name Tejada was borrowed from another Jedi in another FFA story).

P.S. I'm re-rewriting the prologue again. Myself and Thrawn McEwok have been debating just exactly what the "Truth" should be.

 

Exactly how many (sub)races does the Negative Race exist of?
Or are they just functions/titles?
Like Controller, Warrior, Scientist, Civillians, Strategists etc. ?
And what are exactly the Ancients? Like the supreme leaders?

We're leaving the number of subraces open in case we create more.

The Ancients are the original Negative Race, the ones who were created as a genetic experiment. They created the subspecies and then told them to wipe out everyone else in the universe.

Hmm.... so someone created the Negative Race?
Did the Ancients like rebelled and annihilated their masters?

 

They were put in a galaxy on their own as an experiment, as well as the "Positive Race" which was the very opposite of the NR. Their creators began to see them as a threat and pitted both races against each other in a war that lasted hundreds of thousands of years.

Eventually the Ancients grew aware of the fact that they were being manipulated somehow, tracked their creators down and fried their planet.

 

Hey Spike. Sorry I haven't been over here before now. Until yesterday I hadn't even read the smallest bit of any fan fic since sometime in November, but I'm definitely looking forward to this story

 

The prologue and chapter 1 will be up on Monday. Myself and Thrawn McEwok are still debating what exactly the philosophical stuff means.

No I got hit by the flu and didn't get up at all for an entire week except to eat, not even to use the pc. It's a bad flu strain going around this year.
