The weapons, vehicles and equipment of Battlefront II. Calling all tech nuts and fleet junkies.

OK. The game is out and like the last one it calls weapons and equipment things like "Blaster pistol" and "thermal detonator". Well that's not good enough. As a minor tech nut I need exact numbers and names.

Below is a list of all the equipment the game lists and I'd like to have the exact names and numbers listed. A lot of stuff seems to be listed twice (and much of it is), but things are often different between the civs. For example the blaster rifles for each of the 4 civs are all different models. As I don't have all the Essential guides, visual dictionaries and sourcebooks any help is appreciated.

Starfighter.

Airspeeder was not invented until much later.

 

Actually, it's the Eta-2. I can only presume that they refer to it as a 'Republic Starfighter' because--despite the more common casual name of 'Jedi Interceptor'--in the game it's not usually being flown by Jedi.

 

I wish there had been a Royal Guard and ARC class... but one can't have everything.

What about the equipment for the special characters?

 

What idiot made the V-wing a bomber? That really should have been the ARC. The V-wing doesn't even have missiles!

 

I completely agree. BF2, as cool as it does look, needs some modding action going on in its particular hizouse.

 

The Clone blaster rifle is probably the DC-15, per Hard Contact and various others.

 

Check out the Lucasarts website, it has names for a number of them, IIRC.

 

I'd have to say the RS V-wing was gameplay mechanics. It was only available after the Battle of Calamari level, which was in DE.

 

You have access to both the V-19 and the Eta-2 at various times, even during the Battle of Coruscant.

Right as you're preparing to climb into it, it says "V-19 Airspeeder" on the overlaying text.

 

Hold on. Is it the V-19 from the cartoon, is it the Dark Empire V-wing airspeeder, or is it the V-wing starfighter from RotS?

Or all three?

 

You get to fly both the Alpha-3 Nimbus and the V-19 Torrent; the game makes the appropriate distinction when you're selecting each craft. However, from what I recall off the top of my head, the game refers to the Torrent as an "airspeeder," with the Nimbus having some serious bomber-capabilities.

 

The clone blaster rifle and pistol are the DC-15 and 15s respectivly. The Missile launcher used by the rebs is still presumably the HH2. And the Torrent is in this game? If I recall, the Republic gets the Nimbus, the Actis and the AC-170...

When i played i didn't see it anywhere

 

Only Rogue Squdron's V-wing combat airspeeder Calamarian mission was fast-forwarded nearly 10yrs in the game.

And it's a Nimbus. "V-wing" is just the slang, the way they call Nantexs beak-wings. I call them beaks.

 

The Clone War era craft are quite lacking in pilot-slang for vessels. Likely a result from having all Clones on one side initially and the other side consisting of droids.

 

What missions can you fly the V-19 Torrent in? I've seen only the V-wing fighter in every Clone Wars space battle I've played...

Republic Gunship

Most likely Low Altitude Attack Transport (I think that's what the acronym stands for) or LAAT gunships. Can't recall anything more specific than that since I haven't played BF1 in a while due to a nonfunctioning PS2 controller or Clone Campaigns due to it not installing on our new computer. I wanna say LAAT 1's, but that's probably wrong.
