It's already a snow day for me out here in BFE. Make no mistake, the storm is coming from the east. So Kimmy, you might get your wish!

On the radar yesterday and this morning it looked like it was coming from S/SE heading N/NW. Definitely seemed like a good storm was brewing when that was the direction... the amount it's packing seems to be what's gonna do the job. I just hope I can come home on Friday.

Yippy!!! Not much snow up here yet. It has been coming down since 4:45am & getting heavier but it's like a white out, the snow is just blowing around.

I hear we could get 24inches by the time it's over :D That would snow me in.

That's one wierd storm. (may have to refresh after a while)

From Amarillo, TX to North Platte, NE - it's like it's blowing up that NNE direction. Heading WEST is the snow, heading EAST is the rain.

    Trippy.

Based on the way the wind is blowing outside AR, it's not coming from the SE, so it may have arched up and around.

Either way, I AIN'T GOIN' OUTSIDE!!!!!!!

My understanding is that South Denver should still get more snow then us, but with that map it looks like North will get more.

This is a perfect upslope storm. [face_devil] I loves it. [face_love] Work already cancelled today, and I expect it to be shut down tomorrow. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. :D

Some crazy co-worker called me this morning wanting to trade shifts.

She ACTUALLY wanted to work for me today if I would work for her on Friday.

Needless to say, I swapped with her.

    so

I am still in my PJ's

Rachel's working from home today...which is good, because her facility has become completely unreachable. No phone, Internet, possibly even no power.

Where I'm at, though, we were dumb enough to brave the snow drifts to go get the best hamburgers in the world at the airport restaurant not too far away from here. Mmmm...them's good burgers.

I have about a foot and a half already!

I'm near the window drawing the polar bear eating marshmallows in the snow.

At least I could see him if he were making yellow snow.

We are getting lots of wind out of this storm. We have about 6 inches and lots and lots of wind. I saw our little town's snowplow (a pick-up with a blow on it) put a single lane down our street earlier.

Id like to take full responsibility for this storm. The other day I was thinking how it would be great to have snow on the ground for xmas. Opps, I over did it.[face_blush] This feels more like halloween than xmas with the snow.

Just got dont with the driveway and walks, by the time I was done there was already 2 inches back where I started. So far I measured about 14/15 inches of accumilation, not snow banks. It should be interesting. Im thinking they are going to call me into to work.

Wow, sounds like quite a nice storm! You guys made yahoo news as well. Wish we had snow out here. It's cold enough overnight (heavy frost), but as soon as any clouds come in, it'll warm up too much to snow.

It's all IB fault! *points finger and laugh*

I also thought it would be nice to have a white Chritmas, and to snow on my day off
so I can enjoy it. I got some more Christmas shopping done last night
after work. Though it is not all done so I hope it is better before then.
But I thought, surely since I did shopping we won't get snow.
Nope. I was wrong. Though it does give me a chance to be lazy.

    Damn

I just checked CDOT and pretty much ALL the highways in Colorado are closed

Pena Blvd shut down earlier today, so my friend has to sleep at his office tonight.

I've done that before. It's fun.

Yeah, I-25 is closed, except for the short run between Springs and P-town, but they said they're going to close everything again in a couple of hours.

Sooooooo glad I don't commute anymore.

My sister is stuck in San Francisco and is trying to find a way to get home before Christmas. I found an Amtrack seat for her, but first she has to get to Salt Lake.

At home, we haven't even ventured out at all today. Not even to check snow depth. We'll wait until morning for that. :D
